Re: Altered era/ruleset

Add-ons Altered and Altered New Sprites contain file names with special characters, namely: ... ... + lots of files ending with (media).cfg ... ... Are there any strong reasons to have files named like that? another reason I forgot about: files like ...-1, ...-0 etc reference respective ...-(media)...

Re: Altered era/ruleset

Double Commander's batch editing works from search results (as you described), but multi-rename is separate tool opened for currently highlighted files/folders and I could not find a way to run this multi-rename tool recursively. Anyway, I am patient enough to do it by hand so it is not a show-stopp...

Re: Altered era/ruleset

Ahh, typers vs clickers holywar  :)

I am on clickers' side and already use Double Commander but it can rename files only in one folder at a time (not recursively in nested folders). Or maybe I missed something in its UI?

Re: Altered era/ruleset

I can do it by hand, but suggestions for batch renamer are welcome
The_Gnat and me were looking for GUI batch renamer and could not find any good one
The_Gnat even started to write it in Java

Re: Altered era/ruleset

Wayirr, thanks for links. so "special meaning" you were talking about is possibility to use file names in some WML syntactic sugar that uses these symbols as part of its own syntax. added it to my todo list and will likely include it in next version. when next version will be is a rather tough quest...

Re: Altered era/ruleset

Square brackets and comma have special meaning in WML. Round parentheses are problematic too, but less so. could you please provide links to web (wiki? forum?) pages that describe this special meaning and possible problems? I did not stumble upon any so far. Is it something that may become broken i...

version 0.5.1 is published for BfW 1.10.7 and 1.12.x changes: - added small icons for traits (both random and fixed) of each unit (to the left of unit's hitpoints bar) - income indicator (located at top panel to the right for most UI themes) now shows amount of gold that is going to be lost because ...

Re: custom UI controls?

or I could download your era and try to play it with somebody who doesn't have it ;) Is "Altered era/ruleset" this actually a name of your era? :) Thanks! yes, this is exactly how it is named on Wesnoth's add-ons server (for Wesnoth 1.10.x and 1.12.x, I do not post my addon for development branches...

Re: custom UI controls?

Could anyone tell me, if I make a multiplayer add-on with custom theme, would it require download to play it in 1.12? Thanks! could you please clarify? my add-on ("Altered era/ruleset") contains custom theme but for this case your question does not make sense since you either have the theme or do n...

Re: custom UI controls?

currently (1.12, 1.13) the theme markup is complteley unrelated to the gui2 (wesnoth.show_dialog) markup, as they are handled by completely seperate (c++) codes (except the wml file format), so things like grid, row or column are unknown to theme wml. do you know when (in what version of Wesnoth) s...
