Re: Legend of the Invincibles

#redeem-spells I like the idea of more AMLA's and in general more power for redeem spells. Playing late in the campaign and having to take "useless filler" redeem AMLA's because you've already gotten what you want feels awful. Plus I'll admit I've very rarely felt redeem spells to be worth the inves...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Very interesting/intruiguing new legacies proposed : About Nightbound : The sunburn damage idea is awesome ! Just as leech or frostbite are small damage, I believe there is a need for more units taking small damage in one's army. The reason for that being we have a lot of small healing sources (rege...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Hello there, it's been a while Downloaded latest SVNbuild from github for a new C6-10 playtrough I'll start with a small question I don't remember reading any info on : what are the priority rules for damage conversion ? I.E. If I use a ring converting damage to blade and a sword converting damage t...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Looking good, keep up the nice work matso, and thanks again for going through the hassle of doing it :D
About what was talked before, I also like it more out of game, to browse trough it while moving/doing other stuff and getting inspired/interesting ideas

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

@Dugi Would you be against a wiki of all the items / books / amla that are available? I can make a script to scrape for the data, format it, etc, but it would be a sort of "cheat sheet", so might wreck some of the fun. Altough it might spoil a lot of fun for new players, I think experienced ones wo...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

But honestly I don´t see the problem, as a unit solely going for movement speed would at max make it possible to "cheat" your way through the last chapter 9 scenario (not sure if this would work, chokepoints and stuff...) but as explained above would not really serve any other use (revealing the ma...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

nachkar" This bow deal 2 times more damage to dragons. 11 4 gryphon without bow 14 5 against everything except dragons 28 5 against dragons i understand how it works, but the tooltip is bugged, as it always shows its vs-dragons damage. it's only information though, once you actually click an attack...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

#spawning adds weapons Same advice, needs a damage boost. Although their use is a bit stronger EXTREMELY EARLY on (as in in the very first scenarios when you build up a new army), its still contradicted by the fact you've made those specific scenarios very easy (specifically and evidently meant for ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

#Spear-line and Scythemaster What about some kind of parry somewhere? Definitely seems like parry could be an evolution to firststrike, I mean it would make sense. Now the duelist already gets that, but he has other strengths (movement and a second weapon), so having a higher hp/res unit with parry ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

ITS OUT ! Sweet Dugi, thanks for quenching our thirst. Time for a new playtrough (abandonned my very recent one waiting on this very post), from part1/c1. Tempted to go part2 and jump to Krux/Vritra straight i'll admit, but hey lets do it all  There's been a lot of changes/balances, let's t...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Replaying another one, from part1 onwards this time :) #Sets Unseen set : Agreed with Xellos and dabber, its interesring but a bit too weak. Specifically, like Xellos i think it needs penetration, else its never a choice for mages. Destruction set : no comments, kinda broken as long as the unit does...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

And there I was going by the simple assumption it was just a big pool of loot and it took anything from it
Thanks, reassured. About the books i mustve simply been unlucky

Still think some items should dissapear, the worst ones such as iron armour like you mentionned

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

IIRC there are stronger items that are only available in part two ? If so, how about disabling some of the weaker (weakest) items there? Ahh I forgot about that and my last three plays were part II only, so that's probably why I felt there were so many excruciatingly bad items. Also except for the ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

About items in general : With the patches adding more and more items over time, it's getting harder and harder to complete sets, or to find books (as mentioned before by seveal, we don't find too many books). At the same time, with new and interesting items flowing in, slowly but surely some of the ...
