Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...

@ doofus-01: Frankensteining portraits seems like a bad idea, but... SlyVenom shows: it's possible! :D What do you mean with the " face looks awful clean "? Why should it be... dirty? scarry? evil? … It's not supposed to be a Lich that can do magic, but it's the Ancient Lich-portrait modified into t...

Re: Where are Forum Games gone?

@ doofus-01 » There is no longer room for games!

You've been playing Wesnoth too long,
because something is badly wrong
when thousands of posts are quietly gone.

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...

Efraim, quite a looker... by the number of views. Crow_T and – I think it is fair to say – SlyVenom did a nice job on his portraits. New Delenia is a stunner too... the happy look on her face says it all. Krux and Vritra have a good appearance as well… And group pictures as story photos for Affably ...

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...

original portraits : Maybe just the titles of the sources – in recognition of the original artists? I never noticed that the BfW- fencer is not wearing breeches but some kind of tunic... Still, your Efraim s are not dual wielding (a particular style of swordsmanship, not of notable advantage) , and...

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...

I appreciate and recognize SlyVenom's talent and contributions. As to the LotI-frankenstines: His Stormrider looks undoubtedly better. Delly too (maybe her head is a little bit too far back) . I just wonder about the color of her clothing: tanning leather totally black was not easy in medieval times...

Re: confusing German translation (Unerschütterlich)

@ Dennis
mistake in a German translation – statement is false or confused
resistance modifies attack damage (Schlagkraft)
Velensk explained this 'annoyingly complicated' core ability here
when a change was under consideration.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

A halberd... I never would have guessed. So, a glaive (if there was one), too... Interesting.
Thanks, Ashes. I still consider a lance used in mounted warfare a pole weapon... ;)

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Getting back to the 'pole arm' issue... Sire » Oct 10: I was hoping that the Spearman -> Pikeman line could use them, but they use polearms instead of spears. Hmmm... my pikeman refused to use a crafted polearm. He wanted a spear. Sire » Oct 12: A pole weapon or polearm is a close combat weapon in w...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

@ Gindara 30 Sep 2015 – 2/02Gods I experienced the same situation: I was going south, the bandit camp I met, I didn't have any dialog pop up There's no warning about the bandits, according to Dugi commander Harry has more pressing issues than the bandits and they are not going to destroy the town be...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

@ Konrad2
He didn't.
It's the phonetic transcription of his last name so that players learn the correct pronunciation in natural Ogirian speech... Ogirish … Ogiranian... You figured Krux sr. was French?! :P

Re: What is wrong with Wescamp?

@ TreefeedXavier: Do author exactly can push translation to their UMC? They are 'allowed' to and some do so (I know two of them). AFAIK, writers are even encouraged to take things into their own hands since wescamp doesn't work. I don't know if there is an easy-to-find link to any instruction... ......

Re: What is wrong with Wescamp?

@ TreefeedXavier Maybe (send translation) to author\maintainer of campaign? Authors\maintainers of campaigns might know how to add a translation to their UMC, or not. And there is some user made content worth translating without a maintainer at all. @TreefeedXavier » AFAIK, Elven (Final Exam) is one...

Re: What is wrong with Wescamp?

@ TreefeedXavier
Now only one problem remains: How to know, which UMC need to translate...
… and to whom the translation should be send as long as nobody volunteers to be WesCamp helper/maintainer. ;)
