Re: Wesnoth 1.11.8
Wow, that was a very...thorough response. Yeah, I did notice all of the different options for the minimap. I'm still getting used to them, but I think they are really, really cool... especially the indicators of villages in combination with turning units off. I haven't been able to play with the zoo...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.8
I noticed the new things on the map editor... the unit and decoration and whatnot tabs. How long has that been going on? Just this most recent update?
I like it, but I'm really curious how it will work.

Re: Art Program
In response to the watercolor: Meh, I was just giving an example of one of the bugs I have found. You're right about watercolor not quite fitting into the wesnoth paradigm, though...

Art Program
Hey, I just wanted to tip off this art community to a great program I found while poking around steam greenlight. http://www.anchorbyte.com/inkfish/index.php It's a natural media vector tool, and works pretty darn well. Because the entire thing is in alpha, it is currently free. Of course, because i...

Re: the Preposterously Epic in Wesnoth
Oh, yeah, but wesnoth already has the story.
What is the logical next step? More story?
To lands unknown... I'll keep that in mind.

the Preposterously Epic in Wesnoth
I love Wesnoth. It has a variety of stories, interesting characters, challenging strategy, blah blah blah. It lacks, however, one thing: Wesnoth is set in a tolkienesque world, but has nothing preposterously epic. Units that take up more than one tile have been discussed and discarded, but I wonder ...

Re: Idea: Recruiting Leaders
The most basic version of this idea can be tried quite easily with the canrecruit=yes feature. Just tack it onto relatively uncommon units (IE Orc Leader-thing, Sargent, ETC.) and add those units to the "era" file. I don't know if any of you have had experience with WML... If you have, you...

Maintain completed campaigns
At several points I have been trying to collect the little gold outlines around completed campaigns, only to be interrupted by a fresh version of wesnoth. Despite my joy at the fresh version, having to use debug mode to replace the laurels was annoying. One idea would be to have the laurels maintain...

Re: People of color in Wesnoth
If I may make a suggestion; It seems a far easier path to let the community at large address the issue in it's entirety. If someone feels their/a race is underrepresented, they could do a simple sprite recolor/story piece/portrait for X unit and post it on the forums. With constructive feedback and ...

I don't even know if this is worth anyones consideration, but I'll throw it out here anyway. Many of the links on this website are close together and small, which makes any access from a touchscreen device difficult.

wesnoth music acess
is there a place where I can hear/stream/download all of the wesnoth music at once? I'm working on a campaign and am trying to figure out what pieces best set the mood...
Thanks for any help.

Re: campaign trouble
Thank all of you so much!
I downloaded the file and used it as a template. With a bit of tinkering, everything worked!

campaign trouble
I am trying to build a campaign as an add-on, but none of the images for any of the portraits or icons for the campaign menu will agree to show up. I checked my filepaths about a bazillion times for accuracy, and am now hoping that my error is merely one of syntax. I can't tell whether the _main.cfg...

Re: Looking for a few portraits. Have some monies..
Out of curiosity: is I don't expect people to help me from the kindness of their heart, so I have some monies stashed to the side as an incentive... normal in an open-source environment? I am trying to make an internet game of my own under GNU some day. Is it customary/required to pay people for con...
