Re: Ashen Hearts [SP Drake Campaign for 1.12.6]

Huh, I finished this campaign, and I liked it very much! I think it exploits well the characteristics of the drakes, many scenarios need thought and playing "the drake way" (with this I mostly mean things like not caring about defence ratings, they range from bad to abysmal anyway, rather ...

Re: Alariel's Journey: A Faerie Tale 1.0.1 (SP for 1.12)

I guess some praise is due here. I got one of the best stories in this campaign, absolutely hilarious, really, sometimes I was crying laughing at the events unfolding. Especially when someone started bragging about some lamp exchange business (got it) and, turns out, also waving around a nice red fr...

Re: Swamplings for 1.12

That's also a respectable feat, maintenance, the boring stuff, but without that it would be impossible to have this fine campaign today. So glad there are people around who keep these gems working proper as the game evolves!

Re: Swamplings for 1.12

Just a bit of praise coming along. (Hope the right forum, I just realized this board also exist alongside with the development board) It is since a little while I played this, but all I can remember this was terribly good, especially the story. I frequently laughed out loud. I even always recalled t...

Re: 1.12 Campaign: A Rough Life - version 1.2.5

Wow, this was one beautifully made moderate length campaign! I liked the story and the way the scenarios were designed. No terribly huge battles, just right, everything possible to be finished without tedious troop management, retaining the more interesting aspects of the gameplay. I think the first...

Re: The Library of Kratemaqht [SP Campaign]

Huh, long time I didn't look in here... [...]having those 0% defense spots may be worthy Having such a thing is rather a mistake in design. (...) I thought it was intentional, and okay by the game's mechanics (it didn't feel off for me, maybe because long before I also played To Lands Unknown in whi...

Re: The Library of Kratemaqht [SP Campaign]

Huh, I wouldn't even guess just rewatching my replays and noting up stuff will take no less than five hours! But if I did, then let's make some use of it! First general things, then the spoilers. Both me and Wesbane posted some replays for the campaigns. They might be replayed in the appropriate ver...

Re: The Library of Kratemaqht [SP Campaign]

Thanks, I won't forget! Just that these are weekdays, work, on the next weekend I will at least rewatch my replays carefully (maybe I will even notice some bug or thing over which I passed while playing so to give some more feedback in this topic) and complete a more proper nicer review for the guid...

Re: The Library of Kratemaqht [SP Campaign]

Huh! Wesbane already wrote a nice review for the campaign, I rather won't repeat what he told, but since I also enjoyed it greatly, I add my impressions. I played using Wesnoth 1.10.5, Linux. I am just an occasional player, so I chose Normal difficulty. As I mentioned I am just an occasional player,...

Re: To Lands Unknown v1.5.6; v1.4.5

I am currently playing this campaign, and all I can say I am stunned at how well it presented. I just like the mechanics behind, and contrary to what someone above told, for me (running on Linux) even the rain effect works at an acceptable speed on an old single-core 2GHz Centrino at 1400x1050. The ...

Re: Bug report: Multiplayer lag crash (1.8.6)

This is probably indeed due to your client trying to perform the action without being allowed to. That shouldn't result in a segfault though. Could indeed be! If I guess it right, when I play multiplayer, my client responds to my actions, and communicate it with the server afterwards when it gets t...

Bug report: Multiplayer lag crash (1.8.6)

Hi! This blasted game crashed on me in the middle of the most intense bedtime action-filled story one could ever imagine!!! GRRR! (Nothing serious - this is an awesome game, thanks for all the fuss making it! ;) ) So the details: Wesnoth 1.8.6, Linux (Debian Squeeze), compiled from source. Multiplay...
