Re: Creating Events Such as Unit Recruitment

Wow... I think "side turn" was the majority of the problem amazingly. It seems to be working now except that the image for the axeman is not displaying on the special recruit menu. Any idea why that would be happening? Also: I would be happy to just post lots of questions in a single thread if that ...

Events Such as Unit Recruitment - Middle Ages v0.35

Middle Ages Era - v0.34 The idea behind this era was to combine a few great ideas I saw in other eras with a few of my own to create a more of an "empire creation" feeling to the game. In this vein I wanted to create a basic middle ages style era, have factions representing real parts of the world, ...

Re: Using Custom Images in Ad-on Era

Thanks very much, that worked. Odd that though, becuase the "Create" page http://wiki.wesnoth.org/BuildingFactions says to do this: [binary_path] path=add-ons/MyEra_MP_era [/binary_path] #ifdef MULTIPLAYER {~add-ons/MyEra_MP_era/} [+units] {~add-ons/MyEra_MP_era/units} [/units] #endif So is the exam...

Using Custom Images in Ad-on Era

I have an image, MA_Scout.png, located at "add-ons\Middle_Ages\images\units". I want to use this image for a unit. When I start the game (with the mod) the unit appears in the recruit list with no image, and once recruited, continues to have no image. So what am I doing wrong? The code I am currentl...

Ahhhh. Thanks so much lol. As simple as this is, you have no idea how frustrating that was. Again, your help is much appreciated.

Help! How to move a unit from x,y to X,Y

I have tried to get this to work for ages now... And I am extremely frustrated. All I want to do is move one unit from one location (17,16) to another (14,19). I copied the code from the tutorial mission, didn't even bother to change the unit ID, and it still doesn't work and I have no idea why. The...

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 6.2.5(For 1.9.X Wesnoth)

Hmmm, Looks good, except the biggest problem is still there. The peasants still do incredible damage and cost very little. I observed a game where, twice in a row, all one player did was spam peasants the entire game, with 1 or 2 other units, and he crushed his opponent. He did the same to me, and t...

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 6.2.1(For 1.9.X Wesnoth)

I needed to update the .cfg file slightly for Weldyn anyway, so I included Warring Isle as well, which is meant to emphasize naval combat. Warring Isle is still under development and may undergo substantial changes, but, in case anyone is interested that has been included in the .zip file along with...

Re: How Do I Change Map Default Settings?

EDIT 2: Problem solved, but see the last line below... A very odd solution. Ok, So I made a .cfg file but the map is giving me an error when I try to load it for multiplayer; any help would be greatly appreciated. What I am trying to do is make a .cfg file for a map I made called 18th Century Weldyn...

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 6.2.1(For 1.9.X Wesnoth)

Sure. To be clear, I am certainly not asking you to try to balance your mod with the regular Wesnoth maps. I think that would undermine some of the great ideas that are in your mod such as the naval units and recruiting directly from officers. Rather, I would just like to see a couple smaller maps (...

How Do I Change Map Default Settings?

I created a map that I want to have, by default, use starting Gold = 300 and gold per village = 3. When "use map settings" is selected, however, it currently defaults to 100 and 2. How can I alter the map so that it will use the correct defaults? Thanks for your help.

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 6.2.1(For 1.9.X Wesnoth)

Hi, I am new to the Wesnoth forums, though I played Wesnoth way back when it was version 0.6.4. I recently tried your mod and I love it! I love the era, I think the units are great, and I think the mod is overall a ton of fun. I showed it to a few of my friends and they liked it to. There one issue ...
