Re: Why don't we have a Troll Era?

I see an issue: This thread is called "Why don't we have a Troll Era?". That says that it's a thread asking why there isn't a troll era in mainline, but this thread is actually a development thread for a troll era. If you started a new thread, it could be much more clean, not have a bunch ...

Re: Art for Tales of the Setting Sun

Aphera's cheeks look like Grand Moff Tarkin's. Maybe it's just the shading, but it looks like her cheeks are really sunken in. At least <her> right one.

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

Yes, I agree the indenting thing is evil. That happened from using vim on windows, which automatically indents. I tried to avoid mixing 'em... :(

I don't understand that one line reversed sort at all, so I'm not going to use it until I do. Time to consult Programming Python...

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

Alright, I've dropped the combobox idea, it was stupid in the first place. The "clam" theme is now Linux-only, and there is now a preview for the icon. This uses PIL, so you have to install that on Windows by itself. @Lord-Knightmare: When you install Wesnoth on Mac OS X, does it set a com...

Re: Happy holidays and happy New Year!

Question for all:
What are your new-years resolutions?
For me:
Learn all 24 of Chopin's Preludes, Spend less time on the Wesnoth forums :P, among other things.

Wow, I think your new texture is a lot better! It looks like the old one was some half-done shoddy job, no offence to anyone who made it.

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

Well, I guess I should post the latest version. I now have it so that when the userdata directory isn't in C:\Users\<current user>\Documents\My Games\Wesnoth1.9\, it will ask the user to select the proper folder. Also, the checkboxes now work, although I'm thinking about making that a Combobox. And ...

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

OK, I've made these changes: I'm now using ttk, just like you suggested. It does look better. It works on Windows now! But only with the default userdata directory. I'm going to fix that... I've added check boxes for the difficulties, however, that does nothing right now. Here's a screenshot of it: ...

Re: Wesnoth Sprites - Free to Use?

Wesnoth is released under the GPL, meaning that you can take anything from the game, as long as the other game is released under the GPL.If you want to see the whole liscence, here it is: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html Of course, if you are just using the sprites for something at home, there's...

Re: Books discussion

Read Ender's Game. Loved it, despite knowing the end well in advance. Can see peoples' point about it not really feeling like small children being portrayed, but part of the point is that they aren't normal small children. Still, it wouldn't have suffered remotely if they'd started 5 years or so ol...

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

Yeah, I'm working on getting it to work on Windows. One problem: My Windows XP install is ridiculously slow. It's a brand-new install too... Recovery install...

But yeah, I'm going to try and get it working on Windows.

Re: _main.cfg Creator Script (Python)

OK, I updated it, It now has a quit button ("Really quit?"), the title of the window is now "_main.cfg Creator", and there are buttons marked with a "?" that display a short help message when clicked.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot the file...
