Re: New main menu music!

Sounds excellent! Only small nitpick I have is the transition at 3:17 still feels a bit awkward, but besides that I definitely think this is done. :) Ah, ya know what, ignore my peanut gallery comments. After another listen or so it sounds perfect. Definitely done, I'd say.

Great work! :D

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

I think I fixed the issue with the storyscreen for 1.13.9.

Re: Xbox One Version

If you want to attempt it, we'd certainly be supportive! As Pentarctagon said, we have no plans to support consoles, but that's mostly because we have no one on the relevant platforms with the relevant expertise. If someone like yourself wants to take a shot at getting Wesnoth to work on the Xbox On...

Re: Why do some addons appear in all savefiles?

Hmmmmm. I'll look into this. Seems like a bug. Thanks for reporting. :)

EDIT: ah, wait, you are on 1.12. I recall I fixed a bug similar to this in 1.13, and now inactive mods are not written to savefiles in 1.13.x.

Re: New main menu music!

Sounds great! :) I especially like the bit around 2:44 - 2:47. The fadeout transition around 3:20 - 3:24 sounds weird to me, though. It's like the track ends and then abruptly starts up again. It's rather jarring. Besides that, loving it!

Re: Performance experiences with 1.13.x

I think part of the problem is just that SDL2 is designed to be used with accelerated rendering, not software rendering. I believe aginor said something as much last year. So I don't know how much we can do.

Performance experiences with 1.13.x

During the 1.13 development cycle we've received various complains of performance regressions compared to 1.12 in multiple different areas. We've done our best to optimize and improve performance, but there's only so much we can do given various engine restrictions. I (myself) am currently working o...

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

What Pentarctagon said. Obviously if Windows is not running at 1080p Wesnoth wouldn't be either.

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

We don't support high DPI displays right just now. I have a 4k display on Windows and it automatically scales everything up to keep it at a proper size. At fullscreen I get 1538x864 and everything looks fine. What OS are you on? It's possible it doesn't have the proper virtualization method for non-...

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

Again, why do you want to be able to set resolution while fullscreen?

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

I'm not sure why you can't set resolution in fullscreen either. It worked fine for me when I tried :/

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

Ancestral has updated the macOS package with a new version. Translations should work correctly for Mac users again. :)

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

I found the sort by Last Updated option very useful, because it allowed me to see new add-ons. Not every add-on author makes a thread in the forums, and I discovered several new campaigns this way, that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Don't other players use this too? :hmm: Hmmm... right, it wou...

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.8 (1.14 Beta 1)

Re: Add-on manager sorting options- There used to be an Options button where you could select the types of addons, whether or not they were installed, and sorting options (downloads, last update etc.) It seems the first two have been converted to dropdown menus but the sorting options aren't there ...
