Hmm, the black comes from shadows inside caused by holes in the walls. Merely changing the wall colors to be more mossy or have different shades of grey would not show any holes! The intent was not to have a destroyed castle with nothing left except rubble, but rather to have buildings and walls th...

2. in many ruins, the towers just look dirty (covered by soot). They'd look better if more greens (lichen and mosses) and different shades of grey were applied, and if the structures would be less intact overall. Visually, these ruins are very similar to the existing castles we have. It's not bad o...

The thing is that some campaigns might break if you upgrade also. Scott's also points out some important issues. Your proposal don't cover these issues properly imo. I think most people would like to know which version the different campaigns are supposed to work properly on. Ah, OK, point taken. T...

There were several important changes in the 0.8.x line (gettext and {@ dir }) that made it impossible for people with 0.8.0 to play campaigns. After accommodating these changes I received incompatibility reports from people who were only playing 0.8.0 - the number isn't insignificant. Sorry, I didn...

The required version column is a bit confusing. Could it not just look at the version required, compare it to the installed version, and flag up those that need an upgrade? You don't need to know the version it requires, you just upgrade to the latest version (why would you do otherwise?) It will on...

Hmm, I appear to have deleted it, so unless anyone else here has a copy it's lost, which is a shame because I rather liked it :(

For the entangler, I can add some gold trimmings, especially as weights on his net. This is the problem... the pose, the outline, the general shape of the unit remains the same. You ought to change the unit's pose as well as tweaking colours and small details. IMO the Elvish archers are a good exam...

I would say windowed, so if the user has a problem with Wesnoth, it's easier to kill it. But then it's really so much nicer full screen for the first few plays :) What about having a sort of wizard the first time you launch it asking what res + windowed/fullscreen mode you want? Or launching it wind...

Ah, that's good :) All this time I've been feeling like I ought to pay attention to them, when I'm just too lazy to bother!

It took me a while to take the time of day into account, after all ;)

Well given that we appear to have some sort of consensus here, can this be implemented? Any dev want to pick it up?

It would help make the user-contributed campaigns and (if it's implemented) multiplayer maps integrate far more profesionally.

OK, so incorporating people's suggestions, how about: The old version is 0.3.5. What do you want to increase it to? [x] 0.3.6 (a minor change or bug fix) [ ] 0.4 (new scenarios, or major revision that may be incompatible with 0.3.5) [ ] 1.0 (the campaign has been completed) And if people think it's ...
