Re: South of Wesnoth?

I would like to use it as a tracking map though, if at all possible?

Re: South of Wesnoth?

Aye, but the guard is still a light hearted soul... But then again, he does hate her after all... No need to haste anything for me. In fact, I am okay with both pixel art (okay, I wouldn't even say okay, I can recolor and shift arms around a bit, even rotate a leg or arm around here and there...) an...

Re: South of Wesnoth?

Okay, not only do I have it in .doc format... I also will give up some of the high points.... First, a silver/white mage queen (hated) is killed by rebels, who coincidentally were helped along by elves. Second, the humans start making a democratic government using a council (not unlike the Greeks an...

Re: South of Wesnoth?

Hehe, so no a no on the elves turning into cats, dang that would have been aboslutely AWESOME! :lol2: Still, I am open to it. Since I only have three or four actual scenarios written out, I can easily change the story. Would be nice if I had some backstory with which to bounce off of. Also would be ...

Re: South of Wesnoth?

As for the whole of the races down there... I am thinking it mostly happened as kinda this... First, a party of people who came during the TRoW came along and were steered off course from the Green Isle, and found themselves there. Orcs the same way except they actually went even further south. Elve...

Re: South of Wesnoth?

No hijacking actually, since that's my question. So far, I have a small contained nation south of the desert, closer to the coast, but the orcs live in the mountains next to the Great Ocean. I just dont want to invade anyone's territory putting a small human power there and elves in the forest direc...

South of Wesnoth?

What is far south of Wesnoth? From what I know, there is a desert past Aethenwood, so would it be safe to assume anything is down there?

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Since I *was* hoping to keep silent up till the release of my campaign, I didn't decide to post here.... But uh... Creating a macro kinda messed that up, soooo Hi. I am usually Blasphymer, or Axel depending on which kind of forum I am on, Blasphymer for all my game forums, Axel for most of my rolepl...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

Yes, your right, it does sound a bit redundant and I have never been one for redundant code, but I will have that in there for the sake of things. Now, I found the reason it was no modifying my unit, and unfortunately while it does in fact change things, it reverts back to the old unit upon unstorin...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

Mixed news: it kind works! It changes the unit type.... The only odd thing is.... from what I have found, no narrator message fires. And the unit modifications seem to not happen. This includes the name change, id change, and canrecruit=yes change. the only error out of my terminal window was thus: ...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

Thanks again. I sometimes forget things when I am coding in a hurry... Also, I have not spawned a new leader out of the variable yet. I have to try it out and figure it. But what you may be referring to is the use of making a new leader should there not be a unit that matches the filter. I may put i...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

Thanks, I remember now that I was going to set this_scenario within the scenario, but seeing as it is now a contained macro, I will do away with that and make it a unique id. As for setting the id back, I don't think I did. Because that would make two units with the same id in an event, until the di...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

There! I *think* this macro should suffice, I have not tested it yet, since I am doing this when I have a moment, which is not very much. I have made it so that it can be used regardless of id values... maybe it will be useful outside of my campaign? *shrugs* Tell me if my syntax is off for paramete...

Re: Creating a macro to replace the leader once he dies?

Ah, I must have missed that  Thanks. So thus it would be

Code: Select all

{ADVANCE_UNIT x,y=$replacements[$replacement_index].x,$replacements[$replacement_index].$y "new leader"}
And from there modifying the name, canrecruit status, and other things using $replacements[$replacement_index], right?
