Re: Northern Rebirth Remake

I've noticed same thing, but I left it as is from following reasons: 1. Rising an income will allow ai to field couple more units and in effect hold on for few turns longer. What will result in making next scenario also harder. More over sometimes invaders can strike your troops really hard so it i...

Re: SoF: Dialog & storyline revision.

First, a warrior's death. The dwarves suspect all along that they will very likely end burnt by lava yet]none of them seems moved. Even at the very end once death is certain, the best we get is the gryphon's 'k thx bye . I'm not saying they have to get all emo and behave like big crybabies, but dis...

Re: The Fall of Wesnoth - Version 1.0.7 Released!

Someone just appeared on IRC, asking for help about the missing images in your campaign as it already has been reported multiple times here. Thus I had a look and noticed a few things: First of all, there are two versions of your campaign on the add-on server. I believe one of them is empty, and do...

Re: SoF: Dialog & storyline revision.

After reading a couple of the existing scenarios while I was preparing the portraits, I'd like to give a hand in improving those dialogs. For starters, here's my review of the first four. I've attached below the accordingly modified text files. Scenario 1: A Bargain is Struck - v0.4 While checking ...

Re: Northern Rebirth Remake

I've been playing though this for while now on Wesnoth 1.10.2 and here are my thoughts. Hero is Dead: When I first played this scenario back when you first started making this, I found it practically impossible without Tallin as a Death Knight. I'm not sure if it's been changed since then or not, bu...

Re: Too many campaingns have you fighting orcs/undead.

As for mainline: Son of the Black-Eye, Scepter of Fire, and Under the Burning Suns have good selection of enemies for you to fight.

Re: Burning Souls

Hi Pewskeepski, the last scenario may need a little revision as well. I managed to kill Qwunvon in turn 3, and the rest was quite easy. I even waited until turn 6 to pick up the ankh, and still did not lose any drake units. One problem is that Qwunvon's trait is "quick". You may want to give...

Re: Burning Souls

I just finished the entire campaign on hard (wesnoth 1.10.1, version 1.4.8 ). Drakes are not easy to play with, but I am glad that I enjoy playing most of the scenarios. There are two bugs I want to report. In the scenario "The Empty Nest",when a unit steps on the castle, it says: "Hmm... Nobody's ...

Re: SoF: Dialog & storyline revision.

Attach Scenario 3t. Sorry if anyone noticed I got the scenario numbers wrong. I forgot the talk scenarios are not numbered in this campaign. Anyway, I updated the previous scenarios to include some time over dialog as well.

Re: Burning Souls

hi, please remove all occurences of "userdata/" from paths in your addon(s), otherwise the addon(s) is(are) not working properly on filesystems, that don't use this directory (i.e. it's ".wesnoth/" for linux). This directory is added to the path automatically by the engine, depending on the used co...

Re: SoF: Dialog & storyline revision.

Before this project continues, I'd like to mention one inconstistency between Hammer of Thursagan and Sceptre of Fire. In THoT it's mentioned that all dwarvish runesmiths sweared at Thursagan's Hammer and died when Thursagan. This doesn't match with SoF. I think either of these campaigns should be ...

Re: Drakes & Caves

Burning Soul = cave as scenario 2 (stopped playing there), Common, that's the one and only scenario where you're in a cave. Can't you just deal with one scenario ;) With the (relatively) new movement animations, the drakes look better outside too. So there's that as well. And the lawful alignment d...

Re: SoF: Dialog & storyline revision.

Typos aside, if Alanin is going to stick around, then he should have more to say. And since he moves so poorly in caves, there might be a temptation for the player to send him out of the gates to delay or harass the elves, so it'd be in order to have some dialogue to suggest to be careful with him....
