Re: Ladder Council
Public Service Announcement Big changes are coming to the Sandbox Map Picker. The most important is that the conservative pack will be replaced by a new pack, where maps are judged and included for their quality and balancedness, not because they are present since the prehistory of Wesnoth. Some old...

Re: Visual Map-Pack
The compliments still did not reach the default settings page 2? I feel ashamed on behalf of the community.  While it is not mainline wesnoth map and not very likely to be that in the near future, i feel obliged to tell that the whole premise of Quetzalcoatl's 2p_Astral_Port was play...

Re: Khalifate Vs Mass Trolls Or Drakes
I told this to ladder people since day 1 of Khalifate, a very reasonable assumption i daresay. Deaf ears were turned to it. Grunt is gooood, troll is baaaad.Computer_Player wrote:Here's the thing. if your enemy goes mass trolls. You're doomed. End of.

Thank you for validating it with applied science.

Re: Mainline campaign sprites and animations needed
Rare to see so many details on such a small unit, it is a real pleasure to zoom in on it. They got some new pixels on their shoulder, which somehow made it more appealing as a dwarvish unit, but the thick black shadows also made their shoulder-part wide and cone-like, and the armour lost a nice orna...

Re: Balancing changes in 1.13 cycle?
Hello topic, sorry but i cannot hold promises about balance proposals, and this makes me the saddest of us. I am glad someone is actually showcasing replays, that is the part that needs the most dedication, so credit where credit goes. Cannot read anything now. See you in 2017?

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
I managed to keep the flow of the tournament for two months, then i tumbled meters before the goal. I am aware that i should had announce the outcome and write the epilogue that is fitting for this tournament, and with each day passed, i felt i have to raise the bar for this writing. Believe or not,...

When i said "tomorrow", i remembered the day right, and i only mistook the week. Sorry for the delay, i was at my limits. http://i.imgur.com/afHfIGf.png You can also get the detailed tables about the rounds and their results in .xls and .odt formats in the pack below: IWT2016 match results...

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
Looks like there was indeed an agreement regarding which replays were the most enjoyable. With my own secret nominations added (i did not want to manipulate others to vote for what i did), which are draghen vs Horus, Nymmel vs Gravellu, and Caritas vs Yuzir, there are still only 7 entries. The stand...

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
I would like to mention 2 matches: (Caritas vs Kral would've been the third, but ReNoM already did that above.) NymmeL vs Gravellu (50 turns long game with comebacks.) Horus vs draghen (The outcome was uncertain all along, there are lvl ups, epicness, twists, everything an observer wants.) Multiple...

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
The time arrived to announce round 7... Hey Horus, you gone mad? It was supposed to hold for 6 rounds! Worry not, this round is entirely optional, but strongly recommended to join the fun, for it is... The EPIC replay contest! As mentioned earlier, we are having a special way to commemorate the grea...

Idk if I missed something, but where is the Solymos-HUN vs Regno-Bello match...? Anyone knows anything about it...? You did not miss anything, it has never been uploaded. I took it manually from the replay archive. IWT2016_Regno-Bello_vs_Solymos-HUN_RP.gz Furthermore i would value highly an uncorru...

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
I was painfully aware that my decision on closing round 5 is strange and controversial, so i would like to shed some light on what made me go the radical route. Most importantly, i already referred to this, but in case someone missed the clue, this will not change the result of the tournament. Hunga...

Re: International Wesnoth Tournament 2016
Friday midnight passed, and i close round 5. There were a few matches left unplayed, and as it was written in tournament rules point 8, i declare the winners by activity. mortalenemy left the Polish without trace three weeks ago. Daire was actively looking for the opponent and the sub was too late. ...

Re: Balancing changes in 1.13 cycle?
Horus: Cool, if you will make some kind of test era I'll maybe defer to your test era for now, so we don't spread our test efforts thin. Yes, the Discretional Multiplayer Sandbox addon is basically this, so if you want to try your hand at a balancing era, this is where you should gather. Please foc...
