Re: Longest Campaign?

My (unpublished) campaign has 54 of ~150 scenarios completed, but that's an RPG, not a normal campaign and you'll only play ~40 per run. Elvish Dynasty also gets the RPG tag with the same can't-play-them-all feature. I just counted BMR and made it 31 scenarios in 1.9 but it's quite complicated and I...

Re: [interface] Widescreen Theme

I don’t think it helps having the secondary unit showing on the extreme left side of the screen while the primary unit is on the extreme right side of the screen. I think it is going to be confusing for players to know which is which. This was my initial reaction too, but having tried it, I changed...

Re: Youngest person to create a campaign?

It depends on what you mean by "create a campaign". Do you mean a decent campaign that somebody else would want to play, or make any campaign at all? My nephew made a ten scenario campaign at age 8. It's terrible (Fire Dragons in the recruit list at 20 gold, need I say more?), but does demonstrate w...

Re: What Operating System do You Use?

Old software indeed. Wine really lacks in support for DX9, DX10 and DX11 based games, and people who are not using NVIDIA or AMD’s proprietary drivers will invariably miss some OpenGL features that may be supported by their hardware as well. Fair enough. The only 3D games I really play are Penumbra...

Re: What Operating System do You Use?

For what I use ie. Gaming I cannot think of a better OS because macs have bad gaming press and Linux seems to complicated to me. Is this still true? I'm not really a gamer (since with a handful of exceptions, they stopped making decent games nearly a decade ago), but of the select few I do play, I ...

Re: What Operating System do You Use?

If you've got an insecure system, you've got an insecure system. Security by obfuscation doesn't work. Yes, a good hacker can hack anything. A good hacker also has better things to hack than home users. 99% of people who have been "hacked" were actually script kiddied. (I swear, I'm going to kill th...

Okay, 70 views and nobody violently sickened by the tropes, so I think we're good to continue. ...Which one did you think I meant? Number 2. I'm not posting my OS for security reasons. Ah, a Windows user. I like my Operating Systems like I like my women - steady, reliable, intelligent, multi-lingual. Willing to work with you if you're willing to put the effort in. No my-way-or-no way PMT moo...

Re: pronunciation

I've just done a similar thing, and I mimicked the Primeval language from BMR. It fits the bill nicely - they are ancient gods, after all - and also a nice way to reference other things in Wesnoth without being too overt with it.

Thanks again. I agree with blueknight about the colouring, but I think this one is even better.

I'm going to have to think of a new unit to go with the first sprite though - I don't want to waste it.

Undead Saga/Northern Vampires

Note this is a no (or very little) recruiting RPG. The units are deliberately overpowered, as you'd find them in a JRPG. I'm going to do this one unit at a time to see if there's any feedback for each. Please don't comment on art unless you're also offering a replacement. I'm mostly interested in fe...

Oh, now this one is fantastic.

Thanks a lot.

How do you want crediting by the way? As Powershot, or with your real name (which I have from the credits of your era)?

Re: Good franks are hard to find, but not here!:)

Thanks. It's the opposite way round to what I meant though! I was thinking more an Elvish Lady base sprite with Necromancer bits than this way round.

This would actually suit another character though - a necromancer from the Elvish civil war as referenced in (I forget which) IFtU/UtBS.

Re: IF franks are needed ask!

Thanks Powershot. This is a lot of help.

@GMA - if you've seen my art in the comic thread - it's better than I could do. Yeah, it's not perfect, but I've now got a template I can work with and that makes my life a lot easier.

I don't know - that's what I'm struggling with myself! This is what I'll be using as a (placeholder) portrait for the male: http://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/faccia.jpg and the female: http://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/textured.jpg So possibly a dark sorcerer with an axe instead of...
