Re: The "WML For Complete Beginners" Information

It's actually not that out of date at all, from what I can see. Maybe a little incomplete, but the info there all seems accurate on a cursory examination. It's seems to be at least up to date for 1.12, which is wiki terms is pretty darn good. If you suspect any particular errors, maybe note them her...

Re: Re: Owl's WML (Currently: Weapon Specials)

Thanks Zookeeper, that was exactly what I was needing. I was trying to do the same thing with an [if] but this way is much neater and has the advantage of actually working. Ended up looking like this: #define WEAPON_SPECIAL_IE_INTERRUPT [dummy] id=ie_interrupt name= _ "interrupt-day only" descriptio...

Re: Re: Owl's WML (Currently: Weapon Specials)

You're certainly right, Ravana, but I am struggling to guard it in a way that retains the information that I need to unstore the secondary unit correctly. Can anyone suggest the right way to do this?

Re: Re: Owl's WML (Currently: Weapon Specials)

Those are both very good points, and the one about this never working raises its own interesting questions for me to ask myself, as I know that it did once upon a time and I could have sworn I've not touched this file in a VERY long time. Thanks very much, Zookeeper. It's now working as intended, bu...

Re: Owl's WML (Currently: Weapon Specials)

The following code worked in 1.8 and 1.10 but doesn't in 1.12 and beyond. Can anyone please advise what's gone wrong? #define WEAPON_SPECIAL_IE_INTERRUPT [knockback] id=ie_interrupt name= _ "interrupt-day only" description=_ "When a unit is hit with an interrupting attack, combat is immediately stop...

Re: Let's Play After the Storm

Good! You wouldn't want all that fodder messing up your recall list, anyway.

Re: Russin-language user-made campaigns

One of the Russian translators may be able to give you a good idea. There's at least one that is active here.
In the mean time, have you tried looking here: http://forum.wesnothlife.ru/ ?

Re: Rarely seen factions (Yokai, Ceresians etc.)

As far as I know, the following are the only campaigns on 1.13 that use non-standard factions. I'd be pleased to be wrong. Bad Moon Rising uses a range of Archaic Age units as well as the default factions. Count Kromire uses the Vampires from the Era of Myths. End of the Legion uses the War of Legen...

Re: Scenario Review: (UTBS) 12. The Final Confrontation

1) Version? 1.13.7, Challenging (new elves) 2) Adequately difficult? A bit of a let-down after the level of the rest of the campaign, maybe a little easy, but I suppose I got lucky with Grog hitting all his shots. 3) Reloads? No. 4) Dialog? Fine. 5) Fun? New enemies and strange win conditions are al...

Re: Scenario Review: (UTBS) 11. The Battle for Zocthanol Isl

1) Version? 1.13.7, Challenging (new elves) 2) Adequately difficult? Yes, this one was pretty tough. An appropriate end to the campaign. Though maybe one of the enemy leaders could get an influx of gold when you kill the other. 3) Reloads? I got my mermen slaughtered by that sea monster and restarte...

Re: Scenario Review: (UTBS) 9. Blood is Thicker than Water

1) Version? 1.13.7, Challenging (new elves) 2) Adequately difficult? Yes, I think so. Probably a shade easier than the surrounding levels in terms of enemies, but the timing of the first half means you can't really make it harder without extending the time to save the mermen. 3) Reloads? On the firs...
