Re: Separate MP from SP
Well my initial thought was that it was about topics like this one , which explains my first replies in this thread. I recognize that if it was the case, the OP was worded in a weird fashion and it seems to have been dragged on the subject of MP factions vs SP recruit lists and custom units in SP, w...

Re: Separate MP from SP
Disagreed. You can already add custom units in campaigns, it is done widely, even in mainline. Recruitment lists are also widely altered, they don't necessarily follow the MP factions lineup. The conflict is rather with altering units that serve in both eras. And this is a BAD idea. Where do you th...

Re: 4 lvl for Warden :]...
Some tips and ideas: - An higher level unit should be instantly recognisable, and this is done by two things: 1) It is bigger, both in height and width (or mass, or bulk). No need to go crazy on this, 2-6 pixels high is likely enough to be noticeable. And 2), change is posture and gear enough. Highe...

Re: Faction Generator!
The macro thing: In WML, a macro is identified by it being between braces (is this the right word?). For example: {THIS_IS A MACRO variable1 variable2} What a macro does is take the braces thing and replace it with a predefined block of text. For macros from mainline, there are no problems, since th...

Re: Faction Generator!
It's not what I was thinking of, but it works too. Although it's a bit more technical and I'm not sure someone unwilling to open a unit file would go to the trouble of setting this up. In my past experience, it was kinda complicated (but maybe it's because I'm on mac)...

Re: Elven fighting style
Why, because it systematically invalidates everything you've written so far and don't like it? Oh well. Have fun redesigning the elves like you think they ought to be. It's not like I care all that much, anyway...

Re: Faction Generator!
I'm pretty sure it's an FPI. Also, creating units is uber easy. About the easiest thing you can do in WML. Just open a unit file, you'll see how you already understand how it's done. Also, I think someone created something like that in html, on the web, or something... Ancestral, perhaps (hope I got...

Re: Elven fighting style
1) It's faction, without an "r". 2) They are already pretty swift... in forests. As for dexterity, they already have more strikes than the average human and all have bow attacks. What would you have liked, giving them 90% defence on all terrains? 3) Footpad and thieves are in the Knalgan f...

Re: Why is a lawful 15-3 unit taking 18 per strike at dusk?
It's a lot to take in at first, but there are general trends for movement types, resistances, etc., and it usually is logical with itself. You'll learn, don't worry

Re: Help Wanted! (mars mission era considered)
This is sadly not ok since the chosen theme is copyrighted. You -could- keep the theme but change the era/races/units names, though, but some words like "LEGO" and probably "CrystAlien" must absolutely not appear or it won't be tolerated on Wesnoth's forums and add-on server. You...

Frogatto is not a Wesnoth mod, it's another game developped by some of Wesnoth Developpers.

Re: General tip: Consider not drawing eyes
Well personnally I don't really read your edits as "dark eye-sockets" but as "frowning with my thick eye brows", "closing my eyelids" or "hving happy manga eyes (^^)". It can (and has been) used in many specific context for those very purposes (although I'm no...

Re: General tip: Consider not drawing eyes
If you're having trouble drawing your unit's face and you're trying to draw very distinct eyes, you should also consider not drawing eyes distinctively as an option , as in trying to work out the unit's face to look like the way you want without drawing explicit eyes. Yeah, I guess so. Much in the ...
