Re: Legend of the Invincibles

about halos:

Units with the ability "Illuminates" have a white halo.
I remember, that in previous versions, units with the "Darkens" ability had a black halo.
But now there is no black halo on units with that ability.
Was the halo removed intentional?

Re: [Mainline] Proposals regarding red mage & javelineer.

there are far more situations when the healing powers of the white mage or the teleport of the silver mage are helpful than there are where the slightly better attack of the red mage makes him the best option :eng: The red/arch mages also have more hp than white/silver mages. Only the Dark Adept li...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Bug Report: wesnoth 1.11.16, LotI 3.1.5 I downloaded the newest version a few days ago and started a new game, so there is no way i could have corrupted save files. 1. The "Immune to Drain" ability granted by the "Tears of the Dead" item does not work. Drain does still work on the target. 2. My Roya...

Re: Variable anchor for status bars, orbs, etc.

:eng: If the bars would be replaced with orbs that take the current color of the bar, it would still be possible to get an overview without having to browse every unit. But this method would require more colors to indicate the differences more precisely. :hmm: For example: A full-health unit and a n...

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? -> 1.11.16, easiest difficulty (I haven't played for over a year) (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) -> 7 or 8 (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? -> very clear (4) How clear and interestin...

Re: Discovery of Wesnoth

It will be tight because i'm not sure I'm understanding BfW! When I played the tutorial for the first time I lost many times, because I used an extensive "attack and retreat" pattern without any thougt about unit formation. Then I decided to start with "Heir to the Throne" because it has ...

Re: Guardsman upgrades vs fighter upgrades. Units balance.

The 10% less defense on hills and mountains is balanced by the 10% more defense on flat, forest and watery terrain. I don't think anyone has noticed this so far. I agree that the Steelclad/Lord is more powerful in the mountains, but the Stalwart/Sentinel makes a superior performance on mos...

Re: Bosses

some time ago i had an idea for campaign bosses that combines the "boss fight" idea with the "units larger than one hex idea". it's an immobile oversized boss unit, made up of individual units. the sprites would work like a puzzle, so that it looks like one big unit. an example: the boss is a giant ...

Re: 7p Battle World

The basic idea of that map looks nice to me, it reminds me on "King of the Hill". But as it is now it is totally not balanced for MP. It looks more like a campaign scenario. It seems that the middle keep will be attacked from all sides wich gives it a disadvantage if it doesn't get more gold or vill...

Re: Reconciling Scale in Wesnoth

I guess Delfador could easily take over any village by showing the peasants his ligthening magic.
Then they would either be impressed or frightened and hand over the village.
Delfador has no need for a squad. 8)

Re: To Lands Unknown v1.7.0 with 3D rendered maps!

In short, I'm a little confused as to what to talk about where, what with all the overlapping... Suggestions, anyone? I would suggest, that this thread is for discussions about the scenario design, and that the EoMa thread isfor the rest. Wich means: unit balancing, unit art, etc. But history and s...

Re: Going back to the old Dummy image.

It's a quintain so it'd be the perfect opportunity to do a nice spinning move as an attack If I remember correctly it has a 3-7 attack, so the spinning move would make perfect sense. Also since it has no feet to walk, and is not floating, spinning or jumping would be the only possibility to move. :...

Awesome! :D
I prefer the bottom one,though.
The skull-like breasplate is just too different from the rest of the armor.
