Re: Phylactery for liches?

I would recommend against using the word "phylactery" since it refers to something in a real world religion. But the idea of an evil spirit inhabiting an inanimate object goes back to ancient folk tales, and really has nothing to do with the religious idea of a prayer scroll worn on the body. For t...

Re: WTactics: Original-art-give-back

I think he can't find a place to use it is there are no female swordsmen in mainline. It does look fantastic, though. :)

Re: Phylactery for liches?

It sounds like this can already be done or CABD for those of you who like acronyms. You would just make a unit called "phylactery" and when it dies, you kill the lich with WML. (There seems to be almost no chance this will be implemented in mainline, though. Unless you make a UMC that does it that b...

Re: Descent Into Darkness Campaign: Ghast Revision

I like A better. It looks like he is attacking more with the mouth, whereas B looks like the attack is mostly from the claws. Based on your description, A seems to fit better.
Plus it looks cooler. :D

I know I am continuing to be off-topic, but I think the developers probably all look like LordBob's avatar. :P

Speaking of off-topic, I love that movie, Office Space!

And if you can't figure it out in the wiki, you can look at examples from the mainline campaigns and other add-ons. :eng:

Re: Funny forum memories.

Yes, and all attacks should have a chance to kill. And there should be no magic, let alone all the undead, and drakes. I mean, none of that is realistic. Nor are orcs, dwarves, merfolk, elves, etc. for that matter. The only realistic race is humans. It's ridiculous to argue about realism in a fantas...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

Wait a second... what do you mean by that...there are still drive-ins? There is one here in the metro Salt Lake City area that I know of. It has 8 or 10 screens and has a lot of volume on summer weekends. Not sure about other times. I think they are still around in part because you get to see 2 mov...

Re: Annoyance of ambush and move+attack

Although I can't remember ever having run across this, I agree with you. I almost always choose to attack at the same time I make the move. It is quicker and easier than having to move first, then choosing to attack. However, I may be more careful now when I know I am playing against enemies that co...

You could still finish it for the practice and maybe some UMCs could use it. :)

And for a windows user, to install you just double click on the .exe file and follow the prompts on the installation wizard. Pretty straight forward. It's the same way you installed 1.8.1.

Sorry, sometimes I am a bit ignorant about certain things. What do you mean by customs?
It sounds like a website, or maybe a collection of user-made content or mods. Is that what it is?

Re: Promised Land | Goblin Campaign (1.8): Art Thread

I think it would look cooler if he lifted his spear in the air rather than his empty hand. It seems like leaders usually lift their weapons in the air to inspire troops.
Otherwise, I think it looks great.
