Re: race-name questions

I'm not sure it matters because these terms are fairly obscure for most people. English is my first language and I am not sure I have heard these terms before. That being said, Ungulate sounds great. Halibios also sounds great, although it has a Latin feel. Alternatively, for the sea animals you cou...

Re: Desert Elves Edit

Jet and Lordbob did say they like the idea. However, I don't think simply recoloring the elf sprites will cut it, as mentioned by shadowmaster. Shadowmaster, by the way is a maintainer of this campaign, IIRC, so he does have some say. Judging by the comments already made, if you want to take ...

Re: New Troll Portrait-Still in Making

:augh: I can understand both viewpoints in this debate. However, I don't think any more arguments will persuade one side or the other. I agree with Wussel: Post art-manips in workshop. Never aim at official replacement. Please respect the artists. Please do not be offended if someone practice recolo...

Re: LordBob's random stuff : wraith

 so much awesomeness.

Seriously, though, these are all fantastic and I could picture any of them as a portrait. I think my least favorite is number 4. I don't really like the pose as much. There are a few with similar poses, but I dislike this the most.

Zerovirus get carried away? Never happens. :P

Actually, I really like his work and have for years now. I'm happy to see he is still around after I have come back from a long Wesbreak.

Re: Amorphous's Pixel Art

You're going to need an artist to tell you if anything is wrong with that because it looks good to me.
Maybe Zero will drop by sometime.

Looking forward to lurking more in this thread.

Re: 2D HTML5 medieval fantasy MMO

Yes, that is allowed, but as far as I remember, we usually ask other people if we can use their graphics in our projects. As a courtesy we do, but if he is using a large amount of graphics it may be quite a task to contact all the artists involved. I think announcing the game and the use of Wesnoth...

I'd be interested to see what the Art Contributor folks think of these animations. I think they look pretty good.

Re: Could I make sprites out of TC variants?

@ Gambit: How would the program increase the download size? I'm curious. I know this was directed at Gambit, but I think it would increase the size since you would have more image files (at least one for every color variant). If you did the WML change, it would only need 1 image (or 1 set of images...

 Wow, that's a lot of improvement from version 1 to version 3. Nice work. I noticed his left hand holding the sword looks backwards. The back of his hand would be on the other side of the sword and the side visible would be his thumb and fingers curled back around. I hope that makes sense. Cu...

I know this forum is called "Ideas", but this sort of thing belongs more in the Scenario & Campaign Development forum.

"Ideas" is more about suggestions to improve the gameplay of mainline Wesnoth, rather than suggestions for new scenarios or campaigns. :eng:

Re: Portraits: Drakes

I have a nitpicky comment. On the (our) left side of his face are 2 horns that are reflecting the light from the fire in his mouth. The upper one should not have that much reflection as the fire is now deeper in his mouth and the light would get blocked by his mouth. Not sure if it is worth fixing o...
