Re: Accidental music contributor...

Hmm... Yeah... I can sense a conspiracy going to net that guy in for Wesnoth development... Hmm... :lol2:

Re: xbriannova's multiplayer maps

Hmm... If I use impassable, it won't look any nice. If I use Impassable mountains, it won't look nice either. Oh God, what do I do! :augh:

Thanks for the ingenious suggestion :) .

Re: xbriannova's multiplayer maps

Balancing a map is not about balancing the presence of tiles. Or do you mean... Not just about balancing the presence of tiles? I know what you mean- and I'll have to explore just what is it that makes multiplayer maps perfect :). Designing a map to simulate a stalemate sounds like asking for troub...

Re: Something funny I've been working on

Reply to Melinath: Hmm... You guys might be right. A village should have nothing more than a few hundred souls in Wesnoth context... So I might have to reduce the number of attacks, and possibly hp and armor. I'd have to weaken it and make their weapons even more crude. Say I could replace the mace ...

xbriannova's multiplayer maps

Hi guys, for many days now I've been trying my hand at multiplayer maps and I've managed to make a few, tested one on multiplayer server. I just thought that I'd want opinions from the forum... and... I'll just post screenshots here to let you guys see what I've been working on. Tell me what you guy...

Something funny I've been working on

I've always been thinking... What will happen when you're faced with a village that simply bites back? Well, here it is. I've been working on a unit that you could place on a village to: 1) make it appear fortified, aesthetically. 2) functionally allow it to attack. 3) allow your village to resist c...

Re: A Rough Life

I'm not sure about you, but it'd be hard for me as, of all things, I'm lousy in the use of variables. I can imagine the device to be something like this: - First, you have to turn the number of gold into a variable. You could use variable codes or maybe you could even store side. - Then, try to make...

Re: A Rough Life

You could always set up a second gold carryover device. On top of the one that takes away 20%-60% from the top you could could make one that would reduce the gold to be carried over in proportion to the number of turns he spent in the caves. That'd work.

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

For now, the movies swimming in my head are Orphan, the Harry Potter series, Rec(A spanish horror film), Enchanted... There's more but I can't state everything at one go.

Re: A Rough Life

Nah its okay, additional help is not needed. I know everything about beating that one scenario now :). Thanks for the offer. I'm glad to know its not over yet because it's quite an adventure. You know, one thing I'm worried about your fix is that players could just spend keep ending turn on that sce...

Re: A Rough Life

Hey Jacques_Fol, I was almost able to complete your campaign except for one problem that exists in the final battle against Ruphulus. The map was far too big and to search through the entire map would take ages. By the time I do so, it became too late to do whatever I should have done, and I couldn'...

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

Its going to take some time though before the next version comes. I prefer things to be more pristine than half-done before I show you guys more stuff. :) Enjoy your day.

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

I just played it till the end. Well, what can I say, it's too short, make some more scenarios! I looked over the available units and recruited mainly the "normal" ones because the Order units mostly can't be raised to lvl2. So in the last scenario I had many lvl2 and lvl3 units but nearly...

Re: Guardian Order 0.0.4+ dev thread

Alright, I found it weird and unacceptable myself so I'll just rename her to maybe Celith? I suppose... Regarding the people discussing tactics, it was supposed to give the player additional options in terms of tactics and most importantly, it is also part of the story- Sir Winall doesn't like Celit...
