Re: Anti-Mirror match random.

I searched "mirror" for this forum and came up with many pages of results, I checked out up to page 2. Considering that thread is a year and two months old, I would have been at it a good while before I found it. Speaking of it being a year and two months old, I didn't really see anything against th...

Re: Expanded Undead faction mod (Not For Mainline!!)

I suppose I could add a feature to the semiaware trait that prevents a WC from leveling into a Brain Eater. How about instead you make semi-aware just not have the mindless trait? That would mean they would cost upkeep from soul-less on up. I was thinking of a nature faction that would be just as s...

Re: Anti-Mirror match random.

Isn't this a good simple idea worth commenting on?

To add to it, for expansion eras, you could have a random check box for always or never getting say, the tough factions/easy ones, or the good/bad ones.

Re: Expanded Undead faction mod (Not For Mainline!!)

Is this meant to be undead verses undead matches? If this is meant to be playable with other factions as well (and only undead verses undead would get pretty boring) Your going to need to make at least one other faction as well and balance it accordingly. Since glancing through what you have here, t...

Re: Expanded Undead faction mod (Not For Mainline!!)

If a unit has "semi-aware" then it should not have mindlessness. Having level 2 with no upkeep is a bit much as it is anyway, so all your level 2 WC should be pretty weak for their level and/or require ALOT of experience to level (since without a mind, its hard to learn) Maybe just the latter, requi...

Anti-Mirror match random.

It would be nice if there was a box next to random faction to check so that what ever random faction you would get, would be different then any other random or picked faction that is part of that game. While I don't mind mirror matches so much, some people really hate them. It would also be nice if ...

Re: Viewable game without spying either side

This would be quite a unfunny observing. I assume you mean it would not be fun, funny means humorous. Anyway the point of being a observer in such a game would not be fun, it would be the other reasons I mentioned. Regarding the logic that we should not bother because the cheaters have already won:...

Re: Turn timer without time limit

I know what he means, but that would just be a variation of what already exists and is a completely different idea that belongs in its own thread. Where as, there is no 'simply a timer' option, which is what is being proposed here. Your timer seems to serve no use, so I don't know why someone would ...

Re: Viewable game without spying either side

Saving and loading would be very time consuming and not at all real time, which would discourage most people from doing it. Noones developed a fog hack yet that I have heard of, and I seriously doubt it would be harder to have two IPs or get a friend to help you cheat, then it would be to figure out...

Re: Turn timer without time limit

There already exists a time limit, I would just like to see a timer without the limit option as well, any developers care to chime in here?

Turn timer without time limit

I don't like time limits, but I want people to know how long they have been taking during their turns. So I would like a turn timer option. You set it to a specific time, The timer counts down from that time. When it reaches zero it just flips to negative time and keeps counting (up this time of cou...

Viewable game without spying either side

Right now there are only two options, either you make the game allow observers and risk someone logging in as a second person guest and spying your troop location (granted normally the game alerts you of same IP's, but I am sure there are ways around that) Or you make the game unviewable, thus probl...

Remote host disconnect for 1.4 server add-ons

When me and someone else try to connect to the addon server we get that message "remote host disconnect" each version has its own add-on server right? Has the 1.4 one been shut down? Or is the problem something else?

I see, thank you for your explanation. Oh well.

I need to get a burner or something before I can get into linux or something. Any particular version of linux you would each recommend?
