Re: Official new ladder thread
Well yes indeed its not so joyful perspective actually. Obviously its a lot more work that website with one or two report buttons ;). Not to mention all of that have to be done in js :(. I fear to think what would happen with new wesnoth releases when some tweaks to units would be done here and ther...

Re: Official new ladder thread
SlowThinker: So I checked those replays and found that indeed manually saved files cause problems as they have differend structure but I guess its not a big deal. About conquest and replays in archive: they work nicely with L8 but there is one problem. When I was searching for replays in archive I f...

Re: Official new ladder thread
When it commes to keeping parallel ladders, well it isnt prepared for this at all tbh. I will think about that but it may be that having second instance of the ladder would be best way :/. About sides yep allow_player=no was what I was reffering to so it looks ok. Do you have any conquest replay wit...

Re: Official new ladder thread
SlowThinker: there are no isolation features now but supporting conquest should be possible (if not easy) with current codebase. I wonder what would be the best solution and how ratings form conquest would translate to regular ratings for 1v1 and 2v2 (as conquest is totally differnend game type). I ...

Re: Is it possible to disable caching game lists in archive?
Yes I have similar feelings as Scatha but maybe you know who are replay archive owners so I can contact them?

Re: Official new ladder thread
Dreadnough wasn't the only person asking for that. TBH I dont see the point of not importing rating as well but well maybe there are some valid points Im not aware of.

Re: Official new ladder thread
Hi, thx for the kind words. Scatha: hopefully higher tau could to the trick :). Is it possible to disable caching game lists in archive?
Is it possible to disable caching game lists in replay archive? Currently one has to wait few minutes before he will be able to access replay. I wrote new ladder and it is kind of a frontend to replay archive. Because of that wait time it can be frustrating for players and thats quite a issue for me...

Re: Official new ladder thread
It's important to point out that this ladder is a completely separate project from the current 1v1 wesnoth ladder that has been in place for years. Yes thx for pointing this out as thats obviously thing I forgot to mention :). nagafono thx! I updated the FAQ and fixed bug that prevented updates of ...

Official new ladder thread
Hi, this is supposed to be continuation of this thread: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?t=32037 . But as the old thread was for discussion of the project features this one is actually official feedback thread as the new ladder is already done. You can find it here: http://ladder8.herokuapp.c...

1.10.9 - "RNG haters edition" is out
No more Wesnoth's random variables. After reciving about 10 times in a row same map from pool of 20 i decided to switch to Lua math.random
.
Non technical explanation: RBY does not user Wesnoth's RNG anymore.
Cheers
