Re: What are you reading right now?

With this in mind; I am reading Learning PHP, My SQL, & JavaScript by Robin Nixon. You need a book for that? I'd just use w3schools (all right you probably get a bit more information in a book, but being a student I avoid spending money on factual books wherever possible). I'm currently reading...

Re: What are you reading right now?

Gah. The book is called Northern Lights. The Americanised title of the book, and the title of the movie, bug the crap out of me. It's not a compass! Ah that's why I didn't recognise it. Actually to be honest, it's as much about the Aethlometer (sp?)/Compass as it is about the Northern Lights. Actua...

Re: Loading bar. A little more discussion.

Come to think of it do we even need a bar? Games seem to be breaking away from that trend these days. Something like a 'Loading...' message with a small animation in the bottom right corner (which is usually the norm for these kind of things), maybe an idle animation of good quality.

Re: Majors Art

Please see this Elvish Hero sprite: http://www.wesnoth.org/units/1.6/pics/00041_hero.png Notice especially bright outlines around weapons. Bad example This: http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/download/file.php?id=37049 Is a much better example (I have it on good authority that the current elves aren't pu...

Is that the one with daemons and Lyra? If it is I found it a good read, I think it was made into a film but I avoided watching it, didn't look all that good.

Gah, the one time I don't put a comma before an 'and'. Thoug at least my mistake doesn't alter the entire meaning of the sentence.

Re: newbie says holy crap

Clearly he means crap with holes in it. That'd be 'holey' not 'holy'. Good to see Wesnoth is making a good impression on people :). I'm sure I'm not alone in saying (but I can't speak for any other member of the Wesnoth team) that I aim to please. Welcome, please enjoy your stay and keep all attach...

Add a pixel of white to dark part of the biggest eye, it brings out reflective surface of the eye.

Re: Skins or themes to the menius

Not really the highest priority at the moment as far as I'm aware (there was a project back a few months but it seems to have gone dead). You might want to use the correct spelling of "Menus" though. Another reason this is unlike is that Theme WML is really pretty complex, you can make you...
