Re: Cloud's animations
Mmm, I might have to start this again from scratch. The main problem is the feet, bringing the right foot forward isn't viable without spinning really, as too pull back one would be all off balanace and more exposed than spinning. Bringing the left foot forward would solve all the issues I have with...

Re: Cloud's animations
I know it doesn't seem to fit the unit. However I have my reasons for chosing it to do the way I am. For a start, it's not anything ninja-ish; just a simple pivot on the spot, even the heaviest warrior should be able to turn on the balls of their feet with a fair amount of speed. Secondly; try the m...

Re: Cloud's animations
I'm not so sure I agree with you there TSI, if I add in a few extra frames to make it obvious he's turned (which I'm planning anyways), and perhaps turn the head away on the second hit frame somewhat, I think it'll be obvious enough. Even if it turns out not to be (in which case it won't be difficul...

Re: Cloud's animations
Double post, but it's been a while. Changed the 5th frame, and added in weapon positions for the 6th, and potential movement for the 7th (for those who can't read my appaling mousewriting, the top arrow is the path for the spear, the middle is the path for the (left) foot and the bottom is the path ...

Re: Help TSI put his commits list together
The Lord Ranged animation needs comitting I believe (Jet okayed this).
Hopefully I'll get working on the Dwarves again, been bogged down with University work lately but after Tuesday I'm done until September so hopefully I'll get up to speed again.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Rebel Code by Glyn Moody. First factual book I've tried to read in a long while, still no one mistakes me for anything other than a Computer Scientist on the train.

Fledgling just means young or inexperienced. T'is an apt word in the situation, in my opinion.Araja wrote:Well, fledgling is used to describe young birds or lizards. "For most soldiers,"?

Re: What programs do you use?
I use GIMP 2.4, I've tried 2.6 and I don't like what they've done with the floating of menus above the images as alt+tabbing between an image and something like the Layers dock is ingrained. I like to have a clear screen and because I'm on a Microsoft OS I'd need another monitor for that (or have no...

Re: Wesnoth Bestiary
Fair enough, I wasn't really advocating tables for layout (making websites totally out of tables is something I've done in the past, but I'm converted to divs to that sort of thing now I know how to correctly position them), but it's difficult not to deal with at least some of the layout when you go...

Re: Wesnoth Bestiary
Very nice work, however I find it a bit strange that you're not using tables when this is one of the few places they're debatably better than divs. Also having images defined as backgrounds over the <img> tag, probably isn't the best for this solution, as the CSS file will have to have every single ...

(In the spare time between meetings with different assignment groups) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/Ludwig_der_Squig/pixelart/dragon_new.png Wow, I speak only for myself, but that's pretty damm close to mainline. Very nice work on the texture of the scale and the shading, if you could cont...
