Re: Armageddon Drake

@thespaceinvader: The Armageddon's right arm really needs to move slightly. Which is exactly what tsi said, there wasn't really the need to repeat it. A-Red: If you could animation the loin-cloth to billow somewhat during landing it would be a nice little touch, otherwise it seems to remain too sta...

Re: Stern's Art: Mosquito

Possibly because we have other priorities. A lot of mainline units don't even have proper SE attack (for all their attack), idle and all manner of other animations which will be seen far more often than death animations.

Re: Cloud's animations

Which also helps sort out the backside issue :P It's probably on the wrong way around and the javelins are too short. To the former it's a composition issue and to the latter I'll makes some changes. Also hopefully it isn't too difficult to read, but as with a lot of things what's obvious to me migh...

Re: Cloud's animations

Whilst I'm still marginly awake I'll quickly ask: is the NE Guard frame getting there? (in fact crit on any of the above would be lovely, but the NE is the most important - onces that's sorted I can get onto the rest of the NE animations).

Enjoy the rest of the conference, and the free interwebs ;)

Re: Cloud's animations

Sorry it's late. Changing the angle is what I meant (lowering the spearhead).

Re: Cloud's animations

I had a feeling that might be the case, I'll lower spear and hand a couple of pixels.

Re: Cloud's animations

Another day another start at an animation (need something to keep me busy whilst waiting for crit on the rest). This time it's the turn of the Guard's ranged animation. It still needs a lot of work, I'm more posting it to see if I've got the correct level of emphasis. It might also be a touch high (...

Re: Valkiers portraits: WSAS rebirthing NR

Seconded all of what Justin said, especially with reguards to missing a WSAS (*grumble* it would have been nice to of had a little advertisement */grumble*).

Still, keeping on topic, congrats Valkier; I look forward to what you come up with - I know it'll be brilliant :)

Re: Friendly units walking over each other?

They're begining to get animations for movement (see Sleepwalker's Saurian project). One day every unit will have all needed attack animations (including directionals, defense, etc.), standing (a bob or similar), idle and movement. But with over 200 units (quote from the Description page) it's going...

Re: Cloud's animations

Slight fix to the NE frame, I have a feeling the right leg is still wrong. Updated on the bob and included a zip. Last but by no means least - I'll get cracking on the wind up frames. EDIT: Here's one - I don't think I can wind it up anymore without the spear seeming too high in the frame, I'll thin...

Re: Frogatto and Scripted Cutscenes

Take all of the following with a pinch of salt. I've only just completed my first year of CS, so I'm sure there's a lot of people more equipped to answer the question. However, I do like working stuff like this out; so I can't resist. Also because of the CS degree, I have my head stuck in the Object...

Re: Cloud's animations

Awesome, I'll get those legs moving a touch and post up a zip. In the meantime - here's an attempt at a NE frame. I know it's close, but there's still something not quite right that I can't put my finger on right now, but it's finally getting somewhere close :annoyed:. EDIT: And got some bob into th...

Re: Cloud's animations

I believe that issue fixes itself in game (in better words: it does from my somewhat biased view). It's not that noticable, but the hand is a long way back, and I've shortened the spear in the frame before the strike - perhaps there needs to be a slight delay there. EDIT: Yeah, an extra 50ms added t...

Re: Cloud's animations

Double post. Only issue I haven't sorted is the step, and I'd rather have someone else's opinion from an in-game perspective before I approach it. That aside I think this little fellow is sorted in terms of south animations. I think I might have a break from him before tackling the north animations.
