Re: What do you do in the real world?

Just to make everyone jealous. I am free! Just had my last exam so I am officially free from exams and lectures and responsibility (until I have to do my dissertation research, write up my dissertation, go back to work, get a new job and start that job - but for now, I am free!). I am almost a Maste...

Re: League of Legends - Season 2!

Been having a weird problem with windows explorer restarting after every game. The bonus IP weekend looks good though :) I'm tempted to go home for the weekend now, does that make me sound really sad? I'm finishing my masters today (minus the dissertation) and I haven't played LoL in months, I dese...

Re: What do you do in the real world?

I want to start fencing again, did it for about 6 months and was really fun and I had the advantage of being a left hander. But the kit is expensive!

[Engine] Toggle AI ignoring shroud, fog and ambush

There may be ways around this already, but I do not know of them. Currently the AI ignores all three methods of concealing your units and it makes it very hard to create a true stealth scenario (At the moment my option appears to be setting the ai to ignore units over x number of hexes away). It wou...

Re: The Devil's Flute - version 0.1.4b

Excellent :) Before you commit the changes I need to double check them for typos and I will tone Amadeus' personality down a bit. I will change Creona's line, I didn't quite get the meaning behind the line but now you have explained I know what to do with it! I'm meant to be revising, but I no doubt...

Re: The Devil's Flute - version 0.1.4b

I have begun work on the dialogue. I have done the first scenario so you can see the direction and style I plan to use and we can then discuss anything you want me to change before I carry on. I delete any line I haven't changed, put REMOVE if I think it should be taken out and put ADD IN if I think...

Re: League of Legends - Season 2!

Yeah, terror! I have to say that I'm a bit of a valve fanboy, but I do hope that LoL comes out ahead! I have no opinion of Varus because I'm still 3-4 weeks away from being able to play again. I tried to play on my laptop the other day due to the new patch making things better for low-end rigs, it w...

It appears that most are computer related people (makes sense). I can feel special and unique!
How come we don't have more red names around here with all you science whizzes? :lol2:

Re: [interface] Link to wesnoth.org

This could turn out to be a bad idea, especially for software distribution users (i.e. Linux distributions) who we don’t support directly, which is pretty much all of them since only Mac OS X, Windows, and OpenPandora builds are part of the mainline release procedure; that is, besides the source co...

Re: Dialogue editing for non-native English speakers

I'd change "game" to "campaign" in that sentence then. :)

I can continue editing people's dialogues but I will probably remain at a slow pace as I just agreed to do a re-write for another campaign and am working on my own.

Re: Dialogue editing for non-native English speakers

Sorry for the late reply: In this line: "There are not many man, trained and able to lead others. You can recruit only two Sergeants in this game." The meaning of game is not clear, do you mean in the scenario or in the campaign? The text says you can only recruit two Sergeants, but in you...

Re: [interface] Link to wesnoth.org

One of the "tips of the day" that get shown on the main screen is "On http://www.wesnoth.org you can find strategy guides, technical support, the history of Wesnoth, and much more." I thought this one used to be always displayed first when starting for the first time, but it doe...

Re: I challenge you!

Well, at 12:00 pm (my time) you have twice posted that you had been online for 5/6 hours, so I assumed that 10am would be a good time.
You are GMT-6? Honduras/Costa Rica? Or are you +8? China/Australia?
