Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Yes, something like that... Don't misunderstand me, I perfectly know that this piece could perfectly work with more drums and, listening to your works for wesnoth on the forum, I'm sure you would use them wisely. But I also know that if the piece hasn't major "tecnhical" or "aestetical" issues we ar...

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

I meant that it's not the much the waltzy impression that I'm afraid of, but giving it a too militaristic rythm and transform it in an action cue.

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Hi again :)
- Yes, It should be the name :-D
- I've read the licensing part and I'm ok with that, don't worry.
- I'll post an ogg when West will eventually come in, that's no problem

I'm happy you liked my work

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Thank you :)
Also, quite a bit of this piece is just a tad waltzy for an orchestral battle theme
That's what i'd like to avoid...(the orchestral battle theme)
It should be more a danger situation, and this is also the reason I didn't covered it with snare drums and bass drums.

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Hi, I have the new version of the music here:
http://www.isound.com/mp3player/play.ph ... &id=540748

Drums added, added a statement of a theme in the quiet part, and other modifications you'll listen yourself :)

What do you think?

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Well, I hope to hear your new theme soon. :)
Are VSL much better than Eastwest (I know they are much BIGGER :-p)? I use them too (Gold Edition), and I like them.

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

@Aleksi I'm not sure about that. Since you asked I will make a "fork" without that piece, but I think that being a background music some sort of "breath" even in a tension music is not that bad. Second thing: eventually, what drum samples have you used for your Title Screen music? Other than the fac...

Re: The Dangerous Symphony

Thank you very much! Concerning violins, it is something i was also thinking listening again to the music...I will make some changes and post a new version soon. The final string is to attach the end to the beginning and make the music loopable. On drums, I really don't know what to do. Surely they ...

The Dangerous Symphony

Hi to everyone, today I come with a new proposal. This time is a real try at a music that could be used in Wesnoth, as the title says, in a dangerous situation/level. Here the link: http://www.isound.com/mp3player/play.php?type=song&id=541492 I tried to follow the suggestions in the other topic, kee...

Re: First shot at a Wesnoth-like music

In fact I try to avoid a "pop-music" structure when composing orchestral pieces, retaining a more classical variations-on-theme form, but the first could be what works better in Wesnoth. Anyway, what's the music needed in the game? I'll do a better job if I know before where the music could occur. T...

Re: First shot at a Wesnoth-like music

New day, new music :) Here to listen it: http://www.isound.com/mp3player/play.php?type=song&id=540473 Perhaps i should have modified the other music, but I was inspirated today too, so I composed a different piece. I don't know where it could be used, perhaps a part of it can be used in a particular...

Re: First shot at a Wesnoth-like music

Thank you very much for your fast answer. I will look at the strings. For the second criticism, yes, it was rather improvised. I only wanted to have an idea if the general direction was right.
Thanks for your appreciation,
Gianmarco
