Re: My Take on GarageBand (was Battle Cry)

Well, I've listened to the music and i find it very good. I don't know how much was pre-composed, tough, since I've never used GarageBand. Anyway, I think the wise use of loops can lend to some good results without considering it a complete "cheat". For example: http://www.taxi.com/leone_gianmarco h...

Re: Wesnoth music and the future

I should be one of the ONES new composers that West mentioned at the beginning of the post. :) We have suggested replacing northerners/loyalists on several occasions when new people have shown up. So far, no takers. Actually, The Dangerous Symphony was intended to be a replacement for northeners, bu...

The same applies to me. Actually the idea of reusing themes is so good for me that I was thinking to suggest it, too.

Re: an .ogg got lost?

Just don't commit the same mistake Gianmarco Leone did with his last piece: provide it sampled at 48 KHz. Wesnoth works with SDL_Mixer, and this library doesn't know how to resample things at runtime when the audio device sample rate isn't the same as the input stream's. :( (I had to resample gmlio...

Really stunning music

Hi, perhaps it is something "strange", but I'm writing only to make a compliment to the two composers behind the music of level 12 on the campaign Heir to Throne... Well, they are Doug Kaufman with Elvish Theme and Timothy Pinkham for Still Another Wanderer. When I listened to your musics in this le...

Re: The Deep Path

Thanks West, thanks Rain. The Deep Path, ogg version: http://www.2shared.com/file/4016219/a4ef30d3/The_Deep_Path.html This version is different, I have corrected the reverb levels and other things. You can listen the new version in streaming from the link in the first post also. Now I will move to s...

Re: The Deep Path

Before posting an ogg I will correct the reverb for sure, since it is something I was also thinking.
Thanks for the comment ;)

This is a great contribution. The music is really enjoyable, and the orchestration is really good. I think it could fit some special event, like the end of a campaign...

Re: The deep path

The low volume was an issue.
The new version in the first post has an appropriate volume.
And of course thanks for commenting. As you perhaps have seen, I'm following your advices for music contribution.

The Deep Path

Hi, I have a new music ready for crossfire :) The deep path, here in streaming: http://www.isound.com/mp3player/play.php?type=song&id=547451 I made it for underground levels; I personally like the current underground, but since there are many levels underground, more than a single music should works...

Re: Quick question guys...

I think you will be streaming if using direct-from-disk.

You could have to change its parameters.

Very nice, it is true!
I like especially the "japan style" in some parts (it reminds me chrono trigger a bit).
