One thing I am starting to consider deploying is an ability to be attackable only by ranged attacks, not by melee attacks. If you're using Wesnoth as a program for doing Computer-Aided-Instruction... To teach people things, even if merely things such as the history of a fictional world... Then maybe using notes instead of actually learning might be construed as cheating...

I noticed in faction definition files a field for specifying that faction's favourite terrain(s). I wondered why the computer would depend on a human to tell it that, considering it maybe knows the terrain defense and terrain ambush capabilities of all the units itself and thus could maybe work out ...

Predator is a movie [franchise] so is alien . So they kind of sewed up both words first before combining them. Maybe Alien Predators would be generic enough to be fine though? I agree. Basically cowboys, and hence riflemen/cavalry, are a do-damage faction. At cost of not doing ideal levelling I instead aimed to do the most chance to do the most damaging hit.
