Enchanted Forest

I'm working on something that I want to be submitted to mainline. It's simply called " Enchanted Forest ". I used these 2 pictures as inspiration: Uno Dos Bear in mind that I mixed this using headphones :augh: so it may sound completely different to me than it does on studio monitors, so the process...

Re: Ambient music?

For mainline, orchestral music in the classical/romantic style is what we're looking for. As far as player made campaigns, I know there is a space-themed campaign floating around somewhere which might use ambient music. Usually campaign devs will post here asking for certain styles if it's other tha...

Re: Native Instruments : 50% off until 29th november

As much of a deal as you get at NI, I think you'll find the deals at EWQL to be far superior in quality to the products you receive. Check out the Terapack, recently released..

Re: A Musical Revival

Hi fabi, this one is not completed yet.

If it gets to that point, I usually send my wav's to West for his encoding magic. He adds tags, title, composer, genre etc.

Re: A ( crazy ??? ) idea

Hi TheMadMan and welcome to the forums. To be honest, this idea is not like anything we've had submitted to Wesnoth, but as the others said, I think the best idea would be to create the piece, and submit it and see what we think. The closest piece I can think of that we have is underground.ogg, but ...

Re: Open source music = stem tracks?

I think people may have been confused by the term "stem tracks", even though some people know what that means, not a lot of people have heard that term, and just by reading it you can't figure out what it means. But this is an important topic, and it regards a legal issue. Although, I know I can't o...

Re: Open source music = stem tracks?

West, don't take them down yet. I'm not in a place where I have a solid connection, but I would love to download them and check them out!

Re: Open source music = stem tracks?

Bump.

This is an important topic, I'm surprised no one has commented on it. I think the developers should shed some knowledge on the subject. Is anyone clear on the exact GPL license concerning this?

Re: Open source music = stem tracks?

I wouldn't be entirely opposed to doing this. I'm sorry I've missed previous discussions about this matter, but what does the GPL license say about this? Does it have to be EVERY track? That could easily be 500 minutes of .wav files in a 5 minute song if someone is using the Platinum version of EWQL...

Re: Lossless or uncompressed Wesnoth soundtrack?

StandYourGround is correct, although West may have a collection of .wav files that have been submitted to him for .ogg encoding. Other than that, what you find in the directory folders is all there is unfortunately.

A Musical Revival

Hello Wesnothians, I've been quite busy and haven't been as active on the boards as I used to be. But I've had some free time lately, and have continued to work on this track that I had submitted this track a while back and was strongly encouraged to finish it. It's still not complete, but the A and...

Re: Old hardware, new music

One of the victory tracks does that as well, it's slightly slowed down in-game.

I think a 44.1kHz standard is a good idea.

Re: East West Quantum Leap

Well, West is right in saying that adding mix, EQ, reverb etc. to even home made samples can make them sound amazing. Why do people buy Apple? A lot of people buy Apple because it's called Apple, and it has great marketing. Other people buy Apple because they want to and actually know a thing or two...
