Re: Request: new lobby icons

Jetrel: ah thanks, I knew there was a proper name for that. Anyway, the lobby is a fine and likely first use case and it actually needs it now, so it might as well be grouped with the lobby-specific icons for now.

Re: Request: new lobby icons

PK: don't worry, it's just a button and I can't even remember if it's wired to do anything mabeenot: ah, but see, the point is *I* better not do the actual art :P. I'm kinda hoping someone will come up (as in, draw) something more fancy than a green triangle and a black triangle for fog/shroud, ditt...

Request: new lobby icons

As some of you might know, there's a new lobby in the making. One of the design goals is to make various bits of the interface more compact, so for instance more games can fit on one screen. Some icons are re-used from old lobby or various bits of wesnoth (GPV, xp modifier, time limit), some were ta...

Re: little thingie to optimise the game code&behavior

I've just modified the F5 behavior so it also clears the image cache so you won't get the "new config, old images" issue. Will be in the next 1.6 and 1.7 releases.

Re: little thingie to optimise the game code&behavior

btw, as far as I know maps are not loaded during the config loading. Too bad scenario files can be quite a lot larger

Re: Bug? report for trunk

Exactly. Many of us compile with -Werror or equivalents, but some compilers are more pedantic than others. (especially MSVC is known to barf at random things) Not really pedantic (as gcc can warn on stuff msvc accepts without comments, like "if (a && b || c) " in gcc 4.3), but just different. Which...

Re: How to compile Wesnoth on Windows with Dev-Cpp, Code::Blocks

McShark: scons already does the "lib" thing, MSVC was in a stupid position where it compiled the same source files for wesnoth and then for wesnothd, sometimes commiting build suicide in the process if both projects were being built.

Re: Merging wesnoth directories on dual-boot machine?

Probably easier to have the linux one use data from the windows one, as ntfs support is now commonplace and doesn't require much effort. Just use the proper command switches under linux to make it use the windows dir.

Re: Warning: copied over Wesnoth may cause crashes

huh? there's no magic going on during an install, as long as you don't mix up the data and userdata directories between versions, nothing's stopping a copied version from working

Re: Updating random map generator

As a side note, when last I used the editor it auto-placed labels out. This seems to have been removed, was there a reason for this change? labels are not part of the map data; they are in the scenario file. The editor allows, and allowed, editing maps only, and not scenario files, so no labels. Yo...

Re: Turn map editor into generic RPG mapper

you are most likely looking for the "map screenshot" feature, look in the kotkey list.

Also, I'll leave the inevitable thread necro bashing to someone else. All I can say is, wow.
