Re: Revolution

Ok, I played your first 3 scenarios. Let's go for the feedback. 1. Good, I like it. I like the character. 2. Kills his old master pretty soon, ah? I was expecting to be that the main line, but I see that there will be much more. Well, we'll see. 3. Language is very... street like. So far I like, giv...

Re: Jingle bells, jungle bells...

That was pretty cool, actually.
For once I thought that I had something to give in return to the community, but seems that for now I will stay as a lich, I meant, leech.

Ok, thank you, that worked fantastic.

Jingle bells, jungle bells...

I am thinking of developing a Macro to SNOW on a square defined by the user. I am inspired in HttT, in the scenario where at some turns, snow covers part of the terrain. I saw in the code that is made in a pretty rough way, so I though of a way to make that easy. This is the code so far (not tested ...

Re: Savegames and the pain of testing the campaign

Good, thank you, but I still need to change WML in the savegame. I did actually, but for some reason, keeps behaving as before. I mean, I opened the saved game, edit with kate, look for the scenario WML and change the code for the event I want to run properly. Save, compress... and still the same be...

Savegames and the pain of testing the campaign

Some events happen at the late part of a scenario, and it is a pain to change it and play the whole scenario again, specially if it is long. What do I have to change in the savegame file in order to have the new changes in the WML code available everytime I reload the game? Is there any debug or che...

Re: Revolution

Well done. I am coding my third scenario. A dialog one, so that will be fast. You will see how each scenario takes shorter time to do, even if it is more complex.

Re: Changing recruiting list

It is always the most stupid one...
Ok, thank you. You are right, KISS

By the way, is there a way to load a saved game on an scenario in way that it re-loads the scenario file? I guess cleaning some king of cache, but, where is it?

Changing recruiting list

I try to limit the ability to recruit of my hero to only the starting keep. In order to do this I stored the side, and made moveto events in all the keeps, setting the .recruit variable to the valid list, but the list is not altered. Here the side definition (only relevant information) [side] canrec...

Re: Revolution

Send your code. Well, the one that goes in the [event], so we can check. About spoiling... Yes, you can be sure, but still, let's leave for later one. I was thinking of some cosmetic differences, just to related the campaings, and so give it connected feeling. By the way, where is your campaign agai...

Re: Age policy

My personal concern to this matter is that what really matters is the Values of the characters. I grew up with the A Team, and I am not violent at all. Sex I believe is not bad at all, even when depicted, as long as it doesn't promote any domination or humiliation type of behavior. In "Indiana Jones...

Re: Age policy

Please, don't get me wrong, I am with you. Banning things is the way to make people use them. I am talking about a self reflexion.
What content do you consider unapropriate? That was more or less the bottom line.

One of the really cool things in Wenoth is the UMCs. This is doubtless, so many users creating adventures for the game, with different styles, different ideas. For sure it doesn't contribute to raise the quality of the game (compared to Mainline campaigns, many of UMCs are louzy), but it expands pla...

Re: Orginizind death macros

For whoever reads this thread, if you find yourself in a similar situation and what to know how to solve it, is simple. The correct name of the death event is die. So, the correct form is [event] name=die [/event] Of course I must credit zookeeper for his help, pointing out what was actually wrong.

Orginizind death macros

I am trying to set macros for the deaths of my heros. I have a macros file here {@campaigns/Love_To_Death/utils/macros.cfg} This is where i defined some macros. These ones #define ON_KAROS_DEATH [event] name=death [filter] description=Karos [/filter] [message] speaker=Aleva message= _ "My loyal serv...
