Re: Valkiers portraits: WSAS plate underwear

As for the age issue, I don't agree. For one, she has none of the classic age lines on her face. I was aiming for 22-24 and I think I hit the mark. If I start taking out shadows it will 1) Take away any realistic looking personality, and 2) make her look like a doll. We're starting to hit the Edwar...

Re: My first frankensteins - Rogue Wizard revisited

I finished the animations in a hurry, and tried it ingame. It's works sufficiently, even though it's not too beautiful. :) The animations are sure flawed, but I'm not really sure if I'm going to commit much effort and time to them before I actually know, at least to some extent, what I'm doing. The ...

Re: Valkiers portraits: WSAS plate underwear

Peanutting here! I think the shading and lightning on her face, and neck, is a bit off. Eryssa, being a dazzling elf beauty, looks now like an old woman. The lights on the tips of her lips lengthen out too much, and the shadow between her jaw and cheekbones is a bit too extreme. The shadows of her n...

Re: My first frankensteins - Rogue Wizard revisited

Alright, I worked a bit on the new frankie. I'm just skimming through ideas. Do tell if something strikes your fancy more than the others, and why. I think I could try out a simple casting animation, strike animation and defense animation once I get the standing sprite to some form sufficient. I mad...

Re: My first frankensteins - Rogue Wizard revisited

The heads are from the franken pack, actually. They're just slightly modified. After a good night's sleep I recognize a lot of things amiss there. And about the heads - when doing the first versions the heads from the frank pack felt just humongous. It was fairly problematic adjusting to the idea of...

Rogue Wizard revisions - lvl 2 concepts

Hullo! Night time is, especially for me, artistic time. Pixel art is something I haven't done ever, and your usual pencil artist, who doddles once a month, is me. I have basic knowledge of Photoshop (though I use Corel Paint Shop Pro myself), and ~6 hours in a train does funny things to you. I just ...

Re: strike fx

If we want to have impact animations like that (which I think is an ok idea), I'd suggest making one for each damage type. Right, someone can do a list of all the kind of attacks ? These would be Blade (slashing damage) Crush (crushing damage and unarmed) Pierce (spears and arrows) for physical dam...

Allekirjoittanut on varannut Northern Rebirthin loppukäännöksen itselleen, joten jos uudet ja innokkaat jostain haluavat aloittaa, niin älkää aloittako siitä. :)

Kohta alkaa hommat. Wuhuu!

Re: Revision of cropping guidlines suggestion

Oh, that's actually not a bow - it's a berimbau she's holding wrong.

And usually you don't play capoeira while bathing. So overall I think the picture lacks in realism.

Re: Fate of a Princess

Hi. I'm not still ready to post a full review, since I'm kinda in a hurry, but since I finished at last part one last night on normal or challenging (don't really remember which, might've been normal for a change), I must say I love it. A lot. This should, according to the first part, be considered ...

Re: A serious problem with NR - Stolen Gold (challenging)

I eventually let the drake die and didn't bother to run through the canals for example to see what's at the end. Ooh, ouch. You just destroyed the secret to this level. Krash, the drake is vital to finishing this map. He leaves for a bit and then comes back as a player-controlled drake player. beca...

A serious problem with NR - Stolen Gold (challenging)

Hi. So, I've recently played Wesnoth campaigns on a bit more challenging levels than those normals. Sceptre of Fire was quite challenging, and a lot more entertaining than the easy campaigns I've played, on hard, and since I really liked the first scenarios of Northern Rebirth (and those dwarves and...

Re: Help needed translating iPhone description - all languages

I scratched up a Finnish translation. Are all the translations of the whole game going to be included in the iPhone version too? Taistelu Wesnothista on virallinen mukautus jättimäisestä, monisäikeisestä ja yksityiskohtaisesta strategiaroolipelistä. Mitään alkuperäisen pelin ominaisuuksia ole jätett...

Re: Thanks. For Everything.

The dedication put into this project by so many diffirent people with so variable skills, though their resolve is just the same, is what made me hop into the transaltion wagon in the first place. These days I have the tendency of checking through the art contributions weekly - the work you've done, ...
