Re: Northern Rebirth

Just wondering: Is someone, at some point ever, going to make the 'evil' branch playable? Is there a plan for this to happen? I'm wondering, because I'm stuck between if I should continue translating those parts or not. Is a player ever, ever going to see these parts of the translation in action, or...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness

Yeah, this guy would so get picked on. I pity him already. Poor Malin... Definitely a nice touch, even if his loopiness might've just gone even a bit overboard. :) Possibly not, though. These touches add to the campaign a lot. Wonderful. Kahuna, I'd see the fingernails as shading. :) There is little...

Re: New animations

There may very well be some room for optimisation of the attack animations. It's worth looking into. But it's also worth being aware that this is the direction we're moving in - fuller, longer, more animated animations rather than single-frame stubs. Naturally. :) There's just a thin line where a l...

Re: New animations

Hi. I don't know what topic would be the best for this, but since it concearns the animations as a whole, this just might be it. I've learnt, playing 1.9.2 a bit, that some of the new attack animations are very, very slow. Especially the spearman, saurian and mermen trident animations first of all t...

Re: Comment on Eleazar's Terrain Improvements or other threa

Yeah ever terrain needs transitions. I rushed that out before a release. Doofus feel free to make transitions, i never got started on any. I'm not very concerned with wood-floor/water. Mainly it should transition nicely with dirt and cobbles, but a transition that works there will make the transiti...

Re: The Belonian Way [first steps] Campaign

Thank you for the comments! First of all, about the WML: Before having the whole draft of the campaign ready I'm not even thinking about learning WML, or coding the scenarios in, so I do not have too much to comment on if I will, or will not learn it. Time will tell. :) But if you really say it's no...

Re: Commentary of a replay

Good to see Finns active in Wesnoth community. :) As said, there's a lot of work to be done, and much of what is to be said has already been said. There are, however, some things to keep in mind when preparing for a presentation (and an audio commentary is definitely a form of presentation). Prepari...

Re: Terrain

Would there be any use for "undead variations" of villages?
Yes, yes there would.

The Belonian Way [first steps] Campaign

"Come out, you dog! Come out and fight me man-to-man!" he shouted into the twilight. He struck down a man charging at him once again with his warhammer. His men screamed and shouted all around him, fighting for their lives against beasts and bandits. Their opponents had crazed grins painted on thei...

Re: Art for The Silver Lands - Ice Wyrm sprite

If the character in a red kimono is supposed to be a woman, her breasts are humongous. That is, in a bad way. Also, it could be argued that her head is a bit too small compared to Wesnoth standards, but I won't go into that - the main thing here is her chest, which has to be made smaller if you want...

I, too, do not understand why Relnan would be made woman. I just started Liberty again today, and it really makes no sense to me. Why is this?

Re: Indicating when unit is doing more damage-per-hit than u

What usually gets me gasping, shouting and swearing is when something unexpected happens - that is, more than one strike against 80% defence value hits home, or Delfador fails to hit with any of his lightning bolts. If you're into numberporn (a term introduced to me here ) it could be fun (not neces...

Yep. They stand out a lot.

Individually they're looking great, though... :hmm:

Re: Scenario Review: DiD 10 - Alone at Last

Hi. I've been bashing this all night yesterday without getting anywhere. Playing 1.9.1. challenging, with little to no real problems (a fair challenge, however) with earlier scenarios. Still haven't gotten through even Volk. The scenario needs a major rebalancing. If most of people had to rely on ac...

Re: Liberty sprites.

Great to see these finally tweaked and commited. The rogue mage line was, in a sense, a favorite of mine from many stand points, but the sprites really were outdated.

Cheers for the mages.
