Re: REQUEST - Clone horseman gallop to knight.

I wonder, looking now, whether the glove holding the reins should move relative to the chest plate during the bob - it looks a little odd that they move together. The same question regarding the original horseman bob, too, if the issue exists there. I've looked a bit into this and concluded that an...

Re: REQUEST - Clone horseman gallop to knight.

I'm gonna take a stab at this, i have a week off from school next week so i'll probably have time for it. Already did the idle/bob animation and plan to do the south-east run animation next. So if someone else wants to work on this they should do the north-east run animation first. Edit: dern boot, ...

Those look really recognizably like Leomon from digimon.

Re: Sleepwalker Animation Commissions WIP - Horseman

I don't think the horse should bob in-tandem with the rider, it kinda makes them look like a single centaurish creature. I kinda think the horse shouldn't bob up and down at all, a slight swaying from side to side seems more appropriate. Having the rider bob up and down and the horse sway side to si...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire

I'm pretty sure the face plate is a no-go. IIRC Wesnoth dwarves have a cultural thing about not covering their faces.

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness

I can understand the fancy shoulderpads (though they need a story to tell how he got them while hiding away and raiding orcs), but a simiar contraption on the back? Presumably he looted them off of a mage or something who came with all the others to try and kill him. Or maybe it was a gift from one...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness

I think it would be pretty cool and distinctive if that left eye socket had a faint blueish glow in it as a sort of psychological remnant of the lazy eye.

For clarification, the blue ones are the new ones.

Also, the castle and keep walls are a shade of teal FYI. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but it actually works pretty well in this case.

Re: Reepurr's Sprite Art

Cool idea, but i think that the skull would probably look more like a dinosaur skull ( quick google images search ) and the wing bones should be more like fingers than solid bars like in bat wings ( 'nother quick google images search ). Also the word 'decapitate' doesn't mean what you think it means...

Re: Campaign art - The Rise of Wesnoth

And there's no way that it could fly with only bare bones for wings, not to mention the lack of muscles and tendons to move said bones...

There's magic at work here, not a whole lot of it is plausible or 'makes sense'. What really matters here is whether it looks cool or not, which it does. :eng:

Re: Standing and idle animations?

I think that might be better if he closes his eyes every other bob instead of every bob, but i'm not sure how much more trouble that would be to put in. Would that just be too many frames?

Re: Terrain

I'd just like to note that the first marble castle you've made is teal, and the ruined marble castle is mint green. The castle in a previous post with the variable pillar toppers is umber or something, but that's probably due to the day/night color filters.

Those aren't very thirteen-year-old (equivalent) proportions there. :P

Do you plan on posting this in the fan-art thread in their forums there when you're done?
