Re: Sam_waz_thread
Behold the incredible shrinking highwayman! He shrinks from lvl 2 to lvl 3 to become the size of a balding ruffian. I suppose it could be because he is squatting, but why? If anything I would expect him to be standing proudly while the fugitive to be trying to go unnoticed, not the other way around....

Re: Luck in Wesnoth: Rationale
Ok. Interesting, yes, granted. But... campaigns routinely consist of superior AI forces with overwhelming terrain advantages Do they really? A typical scenario, I think, in a campaign, is The Siege of Elensefar, from Heir to the Throne. On medium difficulty level, the AI has 180 + 160 = 340 gold. A...

I disagree, changes are hard to find but they are possible; you just have to post as many changes as you can come up with until one of them hits the mark...

Re: Luck in Wesnoth: Rationale
Luck should stay in Wesnoth because there are already a million games out there that don't rely on luck, to put it into slogan form: Battle for Wesnoth is fighting the conformity of the luckless game.

Re: Sam_waz_thread
Assignment done, woot! So everyone focuses on the apocalypse caused by the falling sun but is there any campaign or storyline being developed based on the 100 years between the second sun rising and the third falling? It would make a good campaign based on the extermination of the orcs/undead as the...

Re: Cause of Apocalypse?
So wesnoth dies because the loyalists want that +25% dmg bonus too much, such a shame.

Re: Sam_waz_thread
So where did that thread about kalenz get redirected too? If it went to a developer only thread then I will post here my shock and dissatisfaction that the idea to white wash over kalenz lifespan was not shot down immediately. This is the perfect oppurtunity to give the elves more depth; give Wesnot...

Re: Sam_waz_thread
The basis has been set up, now it is time for the clarification. I will try to move quickly past the formalities or in this case derogatories. Yes english is my native tongue, no I am not an idiot or our conversation wouldn't have developed past one post, no one deserves to be insulted it achieves n...

Re: Sam_waz_thread
I would disagree; IMO, fantasy isn't really at all about creating something "new", or original, or unique. I won't go into trying to define fantasy ATM (it would make one EPIC post), but part of it involves about taking what is old and putting an interesting twist on it. And given that, a bunch of ...

Re: Sam_waz_thread
This post deserves a title: Dr Stange love or how I learned to stop worrying and hate the elves. The elves to me represent laziness, they represent someone that was creating fantasy but got bored and went for a generic archetype. Fantasy is supposed to be a world you create where nothing is written ...

Re: The most fearsom player in the world
Sorry for the thread hijacking earlier chibi. Anyway if you want to out do luck then get tankers: woses, trolls and dwarven guardsmen. Regenerate means that you can screen the woses and trolls preventing death and high resistances means that no matter the luck damage will always be minor. But you wo...

Re: The most fearsom player in the world
And that's where the difference is, although you are in your own words "friendly"; you are not here to make friends. It's all work and that's when Jack or in this case Wesnothian becomes a dull boy. Again look at the lack of jokes and games on the off topic page. Now I know you are devoted to your w...
