Re: "The fellowship of the Clay" Humans gaining ground stor

Actually, a merman netcaster would be useful. I killed Yetis by luring them with a high hp unit then finishing them off within a turn but it can be upset with bad luck and losing units like that (units to bad luck) is no fun.

Re: "The fellowhip of the Clay" Humans gaining ground story

1.9.13. When entering a new village, I spawned a monster every time with my leader. Not always with the horse. The AI never got a single monster spawned on him. No planning of your route helps, when villages are simple too far away. In the forest sometimes you take 3 turns to get into the next villa...

Re: Cheating the elves [EDITED]

I think maybe you want to know how I cheated the elves in The Race scenario. Details follow, don't look if you want to win cleanly: I was quite frustrated after losing the first time, and fearing to lose again  But the second time I put Clyde on the south bridge and the horsecorn on the north ...

Re: The Settlers of Light

Let me see: [censored] objectives. Enemies spawning with deprecated macros and on bad spots (in several scenarios you place a keep and make enemies spawn there later only to die upon spawning). Very weak opposition in most of the maps (you got an objective of survival/retreat when it is damn easy to...

Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

Wasn't it that way in 1.9.9? How was it solved then? I'm not very familiar with add-ons yet, but I'll check it out (and Wintermute is supposed to have more time from mid-January). So, we'll see what we can do. Surely when 1.10 comes out there will be a new revision made (don't know when that would b...

Re: The Dwarven Dilemma

Well I saw him play in a WTT game (the tourney he had to abandon due to some RL matters if I can recall) and he looked like a very weak player indeed. This doesn't mean he can't make good points. As for the healthy trait, what about changing it to cure poison (not prevent it, just cure it on his tur...

Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

Hello, I'm helping out with the project. First of all, WTT tourney is going and we're doing the balancing (that provides a lot of tests and input): http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=35250&p=517228#p517228 There is a temporary version up on the add-on server called Temp_Khalifate. This v...

Re: Wesnoth RNG for Board Game Adaptation (dice, coins)

ZOMG :) Okay I said all this in IRC, but just to set things straight here too: In my post I will assume that by d6, d10, d20, d100 we mean uniformly distributed values (same probability) between 0-5, 0-9, 0-19 and 0-99 respectively. You can add one to every value if you like, or you can map 0 to 6, ...

Re: The Dwarven Dilemma

What about leaving the healthy trait unchanged, but give it to the dwarves on top of the other two traits they normally receive?

WTT: csarmi vs Cackfiend is taking place right now.
We're sorry about the no notification, but time is short and we needed to take the chance meeting.

Re: [mainline] Weaken the OP LT

yea sure first of all, loyals seldom play vs loyals (mirror matches are rare, most players dislike it) second, having lower hp (which certainly not low enough just to die easily) does not compensate for a movement radius so high and area of effect even higher you must understand how important that is

watch any high level games on ladder (with loy+lt) and you'll see why
