Re: A few simple ideas

Just a casual warning from a casual observer about the horizon of this thread. I see storm clouds. Specifically the kind of storm clouds that produce thunder that sounds like: Skill vs. Luck and its use in Wesnoth. I'm just saying that if there are hatches, that perhaps they should be battened down....

Re: Purchase multiple units in Recruit Screen?

My usual method is fast enough:

Highlight Castle Hex ---> Right-click ----> recruit.

Right-click's a beautiful thing.

Utilization of the Elipse portion of Unit Graphics

I was reading through the forums randomly, because I find you all terribly interesting people, and I came across this: http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=8629&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=105 Now the thread is old, and I'm not quite sure what's been decided, but I'm wondering if the TC ellips...

Re: The most fearsom player in the world

@Tobias Parker Your emotions are getting the better of you - you're starting to use sweeping generalizations to justify the frustration you're feeling. I empathize, I really do. I felt "harshly dealt with" early on as well. But that wasnt because of the Devs, it was because of me. In my zeal and ent...

Re: The most fearsom player in the world

Two things: When I joined the forums about 9 months back, I did notice the sort of 'curt' nature of the forums. There's a trick to working out well, humorously, and generally amiable with everyone: Be cynical. I'm only partially jesting. Cynicism and wry humor go a long way on the forums, as does se...

Ok I'm done. 8) -Qes EDIT: Or mabye let this be the name of the level 2. That way you could pick it as a leader. EDIT2...

Re: New animations

General Art Question: Jetryl I find your mini-essay's on art fascinating - even though I've no visual artistic ability. That being said, I was reading on your desires involving sprite facings, and the animations thereof. I'm curious - is there going to be some future date in which the sprites wont a...

Re: Modular RPG Era

Yeah, someone noted the HP bug. I fixed that on my version. I decided to redo a bunch of stuff. For example, I took out the Body/Deft/Mind "Points" system out, replaced by raw Talent Points being used to upgrade non-stats. That and other things are for the clarity that you're talking about. As far ...

Re: Wesband

Sound's Fun. A lot actually. I dig things that can be multiplayer OR singleplayer but still be the same scenario. Sometimes this isnt really feasible, such as Bob's (The Mighty) Seige War's scenario. That can only be done with live players. However, A few other 'multiplayer' survival dungeons can be...

Re: So, uh... rats.

Hey TL, longtime no see. You're still up to your general awesomeness I see. Some thoughts for ya: Ratfolk Goon lv 1 : Chaotic, 13 gold, 33 HP, 5 moves. Has an 8-2 melee sword attack and a 5-2 sling. Basic grunt, low melee/HP compared to most grunts but inexpensive and a relatively good ranged backup...

Also, the rumors of my death were grossly exaggerated.

Turning units to stone in MP would be extremely overpowering as you could theoretically block off sections with stone units. Overwhelmed? Simply put your leader in a corner and stone the 3 access points thus making it a stalemate. Unless, of course, the "stone" attack is like a more powerful slow a...

Question: If I join, do I represent my passport country, or the land that I currently reside in? Or can I choose? I should think your passport country. I still am attached to the idea of this being the "Weslympics" and therefore an attempt at wholly sportsmanship type competition. Pride, but not ze...

Needless to say Syn Error - your idea has love and merit attached with it - i think the development stage could be updated to "theoretical" as i dont think disapproval is likely any longer.

oops, I was still reading the descriptions from the first page that said shared buffs and auras... yeah, Bionic seems ok now, and Noble seems... useless , since lvl 0 Slicers cost half as much, actually do something, and have no upkeep anyway... The benefit of Noble slicers will be two fold....
