Re: Wesnoth 2.0
How about we invent DevMath: a system of math based on stalling and delaying until everything is just righty. To that end, I propose DevMath be based on a base 42 number system, all development versions will be imaginary numbers, and fractional version numbers will be measured in radians.

Re: Kitty's random stuff: Bat!
Remember that the world of Wesnoth is not Earth, so it is completely possible that bats in Wesnoth have ratlike tails.

Re: Li'sar says: Edit Now!
That reminds me: anyone want to get a new add-hosting service ? Supposedly Project Wonderful pays add hosters more than Google Ads, pays them more frequently, allows them some control over what is advertised, and uses a fairly unique model for purchasing ads that would make it quite easy for the mem...

Re: Scripts for Wesnoth
Probably the same way Alteran was read in the Stargate television series: if it says "half past the chicken" or other such nonsense, then most likely your holding the tablet/paper/photograph upside down. Or maybe there are writing conventions similar to the division of paragraphs in Englis...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?
Oh, and by the way, WALL●E, M*A*S*H, the Back to the Future series, Serenity, and the Blues Brothers all rank up there amongst my favorite movies. Second Hand Lions was pretty good, too.

Potential Animation Engine Upgrades
So, I've had these ideas for a while now on how the animation engine could be upgraded to improve both gameplay atmosphere and cinematics, or what a normal game developer would call a cinematic. Hopefully Easy: 1. Animation Persistence Currently, when a dialog box pops up, all animations on screen f...

Re: Sound and Music help for Sci-Fi?
Hey Dragonchampion: I don't know why I didn't think of this before. There is a website called 8bitcollective that is devoted to a musical instrumentation called chiptune. They use the sound generator ICs (integrated circuits, or chips) found inside older gaming consoles and handhelds like the NES, C...

Re: What are you reading right now?
I read this some time ago, but it is definitely a worthwhile read. World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War , by Max Brooks. Sometime in the near future, a disease begins to spread across the world that kills its victims and reanimates their corpses shortly afterward. The war against the zombi...

Re: Wooden houses tiles
I think you may want to reconsider the fence on the rightmost building. It looks almost like the house is on stilts. Maybe it will look better once the shadows are in place. Otherwise, these are looking good.
