Re: Random Default Map: Merged map updates (0.9)
I updated the add-on for 1.8 - sadly, it's still broken but perhaps one of you can hlp me here: With Nat's help we were able to fix the leader problem, only that now, the host player gets to controll both sides (yes, I accidently discovered oos-free coop play - several players can share one side now...

Re: Asking to re-introduce 1.6 lobby as an optional choice
Use the patch against the official 1.8 tarball release, that's what it was meant for. Don't try to be clever with SVN.chains wrote:svn merge -c -42018

I've only used SVN for basic check out and commit.

Re: Report
if you have leaders in [side] definitions, just add things like "id=WCp1" to leader config there in each scenario. Nat, can you confirm this fix? I still only get peasants now on 1.8 ... although the peasants have the player's name. How to restore the leaders? I've re-uploaded the RDM add...

Re: Are 1vs1 statiscics collected shomewhere?
... I was honestly expecting more, too ... anyway - thanks for your fast reply! I'd be extremely interested in seeing data from grrr's random 1v1 option, though I'm not sure it'd be possible to single those out.... That would be kinda cool, but I also don't know if its possible to check that replay...

Re: Are 1vs1 statiscics collected shomewhere?
Can we try to get the same data for +1800 and 1.6 revX maps? I'd like to compare the FMA on the 1.6 maps vs. the FMA on the maps from the map updates add-on. It should tell us how much Doc's village hack helps.

Re: Forking of Wesnoth...
I hope this project takes traction, it would be an ideal playground to test long requested features without tedious discussions. Forget about improving the server side for now, this stuff is hard. However: * The ladder integration alone sounds useful enough to me to try this fork (you dont plan to r...

Re: Ladder Site Online...
Agree on all accounts since you're probably correct. Only worry I have with enforcing an un-official mod is the same as I expressed the last time this issue was raised: There must be a guaranteed maintainer of the mod, since if it breaks with revisions to Wesnoth, ladder play won't be possible with...

Re: Are 1vs1 statiscics collected shomewhere?
*Yogi is interested and cares, he just doesn't have much time to play ladder atm* And it should also be stated that Yogi fixed some bugs regarding MP campaigns, but only for 1.8. IIRC the timer stuff was fixed (haven't tested it, sorry), which is the biggest drawback for the RDM add-on on the 1.6.5...

Re: 1vs1 map
Keep the stars, but use void near structures maybe (werent there two starfield versions?). And remove the ships (use spaceships or planets, see bob's stuff). Consider Astral Balance (obvious SC: Brood War ref).

Re: A balanced 1vs1 map is not symmetrical
Please look at the official 1v1 maps in 1.7. It shows another possibility to nerf the FMA: P2 is simply given one initially owned village (the most awkward one to capture, basically), meaning P2 does not have to send a unit back to grab it but instead send it to the front immediatly. I liked the fir...

Re: Are 1vs1 statiscics collected shomewhere?
Nice hack, Q. I would advice you to throttle your script when fetching games though. Your regex matching OTOH is totally irrelevant to the webservers, you've only got your own box to fry =) Please. continue this work. If all games are made public like that (with no chat removed etc) then surely you ...

Let those "coffin ships" on the river Styx move around with some more WML. Perhaps even show how they unload freshly arrived souls =)
