Re: What are you reading right now?

Aside from boring textbooks, I've been reading Osprey books, as I've not bought new books in a year, and the last military history book I bought was probably 3 years ago. Just bought the Siege of Acre 1291 and Battle of Yarmuk 636, and finished both in less than a week. Currently I'm reading God's W...

Re: support for netbooks

Again, have you tried maximizing the window (pressing the maximize window next to close window button on the right hand corner)?

I'm assuming you're on Windows.

Wesnoth will automatically adjust the window according to the screen when you press the maximize button.

Re: The Order of Classical Wesnoth

By the way, Tomsik, what's your reward for us giving our effort in helping your cause?

I just played another 2/70 (2 v 2) since we discussed your formation of this new order. You owe me something the next time we meet on the server. :D

Re: The Order of Classical Wesnoth

Come on, at least WC is 2/80, is that not good enough for you? Yeah, yeah it's still a scenario...but it's a campaign! It's different!

Re: How To Compile On A Mac

The former isn't important.

The latter isn't important...yet. This is probably related to the Mac port of SDL. We'll have to watch out if anything goes wrong in 10.6 Cocoa (I've seen the warning since at least Tiger).

Re: Download Size

how much space you would potentially save or if it would cause any damage. Not much, a single binary is about 9 MB for 1.5.8 (I compile for personal use (Intel only)), and so a UB would amount to 16-20 MB size. An additional 10 MB wouldn't change too much anyways, as when it's compressed for distri...

Re: Wesnoth 1.5.8

Is there any chance of splitting up the data like in 1.0? I have strict daily bandwith caps, and if the tarball gets much larger, I won't be able to download Wesnoth at all. If it were in two pieces, I could do one piece a day. I'm sure there are more of us in rural areas with poor connections who ...

Re: Photos of Wesnoth players

From a recent (1 month ago) workshop on basic orthopedic skills. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj194/anakayub/P1000232-1.jpg Here we were learning about frames, splints and pins. We were listening to our lecturer (sitting on the table); we really really were. EDIT: I thought I got the cropping ...

Re: How To Compile On A Mac

Actually, I never used anything before this (dating from 1.3.8) to make it point to ../Resources (which contains /data), and everything worked just fine. I re-downloaded 1.5.3 source (the last where I didn't get problems) to see if there are any clues to find a solution. But since playing (yeah, 1.5...

Re: Is there mar map converter that can...

Python is in system/library/frameworks.

I'm not a mapmaker (so I've never touched wml tools), but I think you can use it by dragging wmllint into the terminal window, followed by the mapfile, then enter. Terminal should automatically perform Python-related actions.

Re: Is there mar map converter that can...

Python's comes with modern Macs, so if you're on Leopard (and maybe even Tiger) you should be on a compatible version of Python that works with wmllint.
