Okay, played through as far as was possible (that is till scenario 10 crashed with nonexisting unit type). Firstly technical nitpicks 1) Don't use recruit=Nil, it sometimes crashes campaign when you do ctrl+r. Use empty string (recruit="") or omit the key for these cases. 2) Don't use hype...

For what it's worth, I think it would be cool to be able to overlay an image in the editor just to see what it looks like. Tried to play it, unfortunately scenario 4 is unbeatable at the moment. Normal difficulty, turn 15. My units are roughly at x=24 coordinates, princess is at around x=39, on 6hp and sorrounded by enemies. Even assuming theres no combat along the way, I don't think I'd made it there in time.

What do you mean by "there's no name?" The name doesn't show outside combat? You need to add name_inactive and description_inactive keys. Specials as opposed to abilities are by default inactive outside combat, if you want them shown in unit description all the tame you need to remember th...

There's nothing wrong with Wesnoth on Vista. Make sure you've got enough room to extract the add-ons, and nothing (like Data Execution Prevention or AntiVir software) stops it from working properly.

Abilities and specials can be filtered to work only in certain conditions (like on a given terrain type or while defending, see ambush and steadfast as examples).
