You see, devising any sort of experiment to measure this is very difficult. Eyu, your control measure - using Sauron's mod - has a fatal flaw in that the skills in standard Wesnoth do not necessarily translate into Sauron's mod. Accounting for randomness is a major component of skill in Wesnoth that...

It seems to be the consensus here - and based on everything that's said here, I am inclined to agree - that it won't be worth the work to change the current Damage Calculations system.

I don't think you can get a Necrophage leader on Random. I have been having great fun with a Silver Mage in Age of Heroes. A few games with a Drake Flameheart on Isar's has been very relaxing too. A Sharpshooter on Clash is absolutely awesome. Elvish Druid or sorceress are good too. I've had some fu...

Nah, he did specify a good player vs a better player. But how do we know that the 20% the lesser player wins is not due to skill? Weaker players will sometimes play better than stronger players and win, so how do you say, "They should win % of their games, but they win a different %, indicating...

http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=224142 is a fine endorsement for Drake Gliders being already incredibly powerful.

No, they float. One of the first things they teach you in swim class: the "dead man's float." I'm certain that had the Walking Corpses any sort of consciousness or volition, they would express gratitude that the waterways of Wesnoth hold no hungry fish. I would rather learn the float of a...

I couldn't help but think about this a little during the day. The size of the matrix can be limited, in extreme examples, to 30*strikes, since Berserk goes for 30 rounds. So if both units get 10 strikes, say, the array will be 300*300, regardless of how many hitpoints the units have (in this case, l...

The attack that's chosen for you is almost always the best one under the circumstances.

I hope that if given two ranged attacks, one poison which deals less damage and one not, and setting the default to poison, the unit designer places the exception to undead.
