semi-permanently sleeping your units could cause you to "lose" one and waste time looking for it. This could be solved by having an option (in menu?) to unsleep all units, and now it's definitely getting needlessly complicated. I think it's just easier and better to use space and 'n' as they are.

For super-villages and especially for XP-shrines, I think making them locations with awful defense would be interesting. This would make it harder to hold the point until turn start, which is when it would actually do anything.

Selected. In order to randomly generate one of "Doc's 1v1 maps" we might need to implement Doc's brain too - which would also solve AI issues.

you can either download the new installer or rename intl.dll to libintl3.dll (in your wesnoth directory, probably c:\program files\wesnoth). Renaming the file is quicker :)

Decided to finally give SX a try - it seemed fun, though ended early when I took a huge risk to save the 20 gold of healing, trying for an AMLA-heal instead. A few questions: 1. If you buy extra damage/strikes, then buy a weapon, is it applied to that weapon? I noticed that it is applied to weapon g...

When you uninstall the mods and saves should still be there (they were for me). Install the new one to the same place and the mods will be in-game, however not all of them will work due to updating. (Heroes Arena was not 1.3.14-ready, but the Kalifa Era didn't have any issues).

That's an insanely fast release of windows binary Mr. Bear. Thank you very much, I'd been looking forward to the updates of this and 1.3.13. And thank you to other contributors/devs also, I don't say that enough! Releasing a free (both senses) game is nice, making it good is better, but continuing t...

Actually, I would GREATLY prefer that movement and vision be decoupled! That is, I want to be able to make slow units that can see far, and fast units that can't. But 1) that's a significant code change (not huge, but not small, either), and 2) the whole concept gets little to no support from the d...

@those making stupid replies, if you don't want people to make comments about an open source game without ever having made contributions, don't have open forums. I can make comments about the graphics without having to supply replacement graphics. I think people didn't appreciate the command "get r...

A Tale of Two Brothers, Liberty, and The South Guard are all under 10, and there might be more (Orcish Incursion comes to mind). I don't think any are less than 5, Tale of Two Brothers might be though. The game client tells you how long the default campaigns are (possibly only the 1.3.x client), not...

The last post makes me think of something else. How will a campaign author make his WML numbers become words? Example: "You see $wml_var enemies approaching." This will always output a number. It is a pretty common assignment in introductory programming classes. I don't know WML, but I assume it wo...

You're right. I'm not getting that there is some mystic and arcane strategy that turn the tide of battle against seemingly impossible odds. I'll still believe it when I see the replay, until then I remain unconvinced. I haven't played that scenario on hard, and I'm not that good overall (I play on ...
