Re: How could Deoran be son of Haldiel?

I have just 1 question about campaigns HttT and tSG. It is said, that Deoran is son of Haldiel. How could this be possible? According to this site: http://wiki.wesnoth.org/History_of_Wesnoth 1. Haldiel first appears in 517 YW. Let's say he's 15 years old, so he was born in 502. 2. Deoran first appe...

Yes, there's a bug on the branch where Eryssa gets killed. Fixed in trunk.

Odd that nobody noticed before.

I wrote wmlscope. I think your diagnosis is correct, but I can't fix it - don't have a Windows system and don't want to.

Re: Dead Water 1.0 for BfW 1.8

Huh, this is going mainline? That's great. Always thought this was brilliant. So did I. I'm the person responsible for every mainlining since Northern Rebirth - I think DW is my ninth or tenth. And I have never seen UMC as instantly mainline-ready as this one - design excellent, WML quality high, a...

beetlenaut, the senior devs are willing for you to have commit access to Wesnoth so you can continue to touch up DW after it's mainlined.

Re: Is There A Bug In Northern Rebirth

I'm the second co-author and current maintainer of NR. I've disabled the check for Sisal being alive for 1.8; you'll get the gold back unconditionally. I'll revisit this in 1.9. BTW, the high-quality battle design and the well-developed plot with multiple hero characters was pretty much all due to t...

Re: Drakes - some thoughts on Drake society, biologie and origin

tsi: Your first explanation is similar to the one I had in mind when I wrote up Drake biology.

But your second explanation is niftier. I may adopt it.

Your style of thinking about this sort of thing is good; like an SF writer's.

Loading from your savefile I see no problems with SVN head (rev 40602) under Linux. zookeeper is also reporting correct function under Windows.

wmllint writes to standdrd output. You should be able to use '>' to redirect it to a file.

Re: (Re-) using the artwork in other GPL projects -> artist name

It has been correctly pointed out that there is no way we can be certain whether individual contributors intended GPLv1+, GPLv2 or GPLv2+. It has also been correctly pointed out, on the project IRC channel, that given our project practices a reasonable person would take assent to unqualified "GPL" t...

Re: Distributing games made with BFW engine commercially?

As others have pointed out, nothing stops you from writing a game, shipping the entire source vode and content under GPL, and trying to sell that. So the real question is whether you can ship a game that adds closed content under a proprietary license to the GPL core. Note: I am not a lawyer. I am, ...

Author of THoT checking in...I like this portrait. Dulcatolos is supposed to be good-hearted, sturdy, and not overly bright. I think you're doing a good job of suggesting that.
