Perfect solution that already exists...? Is saurons mod, as described in the Wiki page which probably few read anyway ;). I (currently) don't see any problem whatsoever with his solution, nor why anyone would seek a more complicated way of remedying what he seemingly already has fixed with his solu...

I think that things should be more simple: I think that "karma" is a possible way if we consider it like a "luck tank". And this luck tank is empty every turns of fight. In the actual state of the game, I think that having 2 differents "luck system" will be better: one for campains, one for multyplayer. I talk about "Luck system" and not about RNG. All random function will fit an almost perfect random result. Most players don't care if one function will give better ...

A case in point: here's another ladder suggestion I'd like to address: why not find the best less-luck mod available (perhaps Sauron's), and mandate it for all ladder games

Don't worry, at least someone like you: me! I like what you say: RNG is fair, it's a fact. But it is not appropriated to the game... ("it can ruin the game"). It just makes the newbies proud/frustating by their victories/failures and it sometimes perplexed old players.... which is leading some bad m...

Unfortunately, we can see this kind of sentence more than "good moves or good job".... Sometimes, we just don't know if we play good or not because of our nice little RNG moods.... Or even if we did some good moves this is pulled down by some manners like "You are SO lucky"..... Luck is more sermoni...

...and luck was less important (or a bit more controlled), I think that the game should be far more funny than it is.... After that the "Bane of Wesnoth" would be it's predictability instead of luck. It sure might seem good at first to be able to "control" the opponent to a certain extent... but wh...
