Re: Choose what scenario to play in Campaign Menu

I think this has been discussed before and people liked it as far as I can remeber (couldn't find it - hopefully the search function will be activated again), though noone implemented it yet as it seems.

Re: Why do people quit playing?

(...) Wesnoth is not a simulation. Flight simulator is a simulation. Wesnoth is as close to real combat as chess is. Wesnoth is turn-based. (....) Yes and no. Wesnoth as it is is not a simulation, since it is a fantasy game afterall. However, it could easily be turned in a simulation on a very abst...

Re: Crediting the credits

Well, difficult to say but I guess no. Since it is an addon it should be enough to credit the those who supplied you with content such as graphics specifically used in your campaign, helped with WML, story, etc. However, since you will definetly use content in your campaign such as graphics and wml-...

Re: Why do people quit playing?

So both attacker and defender get different random numbers in each attack iteration. That's a bit funny since together with how damage is applied (all or nothing) it's clearly the worst random based battle logic implementation you could choose. Why? This is exactly how I would expect it. Considerin...

To be honest, Ivanovic, this isn't funny at all. While having a lot of things to do and thus just scanning your announcement, you scared me to death.

Re: Story Text 'Write' Speed Issue

I'm not sure, but a time_per_letter= (in milliseconds) would probably be less new code. :hmm: Well, time_per_letter = 1 / letters_per_time shouldn't take much code in any programming language. Although I personally don't really care much about the unit, I think that letters per time is easier to ha...

Re: Gold for killing

What is the purpose of this idea? One is rewarded in two ways already by killing an enemy unit. Firstly, the unit killed is dead. Secondly one gains experience points due to this matter. Thus I don't see any reason two reward this even more. Personally I think, one should loose money for doing such ...

Re: Story Text 'Write' Speed Issue

I like it actually as it is. It gives somehow the impression that someone (a narrator) is just writing / telling the story while reading it. You don't want to pressure on a narrator turin, do you? But of course it would be nice if a campaign designer could decide the speed and maybe also the font (a...

Start BfW with commandline options

I think it would be a nice thing to being able starting wesnoth with commandline options (just like one can already do starting it in debug mode, for instance). Examples: wesnoth -m [multiplayerserver] would start wesnoth, skip the title screen and menu but immediately switch to "multiplayer mode" a...

Nightstroll, are you having still that problem. If yes, please send me your savefile and the error messages you get. Does a clean reinstall solve the problem (I mean deinstall first and reinstall thereafter)? P.S.: Sorry have lots of work to do lately thus haven't found the time to look in this thre...
