The main reason i mentioned variables was because i believed it was possible to set a variable to match a unit's hitpoints.

Then when they are fully healed, i thought of using the variable to trigger the message.

Would this work?

Using healing to trigger events

I want a message to appear whenever a white mage cures a poisoned unit.

And/or to have the message appear when the mage heals the unit to full health.

I would also like to give some XP to the mage in question as a reward.

I'm still trying to get my head round using variables, can anyone help?

Is there any way to make the AI turns quicker? Or do I have to reduce the number of units the computer controls?

The slowness of 1.1.8 is its biggest drawback in my opinion.

Also, how do I put this scenario onto the campaign server?

Ok, well I've got the gold bit working. However, it doesn't actually change the unit's weapon stats. Can someone set me straight? It is a MP scenario, and I've tried it on both 1.0 and 1.1.7. Is there a way of using gold in an event filter?

I want characters to be able to buy special weapons, but i need some way of disallowing the event if they don't have enough money...

This doesn't work either, for some reason.

I've tried using both 'ai turn' and 'side turn', but the bloody bandit keep charging!

Thanks for the speedy reply but that doesn't work. At least not for me. (maybe I've done something wrong elsewhere). Is it possible to set movement to zero? Could someone give me an example of an effect tag, with some indication of where it should be placed? (i.e. inside the unit tag or what?) Thanks.
