Cool idea. They look like human runes - perhaps because drawn with a brush? I think dwarves would use stone carving tools or work in near-molten stones and crystals. How will the runes be used? Okay i downloaded and installed SDL2 2.05 and the corresponding mixer,image,ttf libs from the source site.
Then successfully compiled, installed and ran Wesnoth.

On Debian, the required libsdl2-dev 2.0.4 is only available in stretch (testing) or sid (unstable).
Does Wesnoth 1.13.6 really need that or can it use libsdl2-dev 2.0.2 which is available on jessie-backports?
