What sort of unit got recalled automatically at the beginning of the Volcano scenario?

Was it Sar'kir (the 'free' dark adept you get at the end of the Tower of Cur'Magi) or someone else?

Also, those savefiles don't seem to have made it onto the forum. :?

Basically, we need to find the difference between your savefiles and my savefiles, and that'll be where the problem lies. Thanks a lot for all your help, and I'm glad you're able to continue playing anyway.

I've tried playing through to those scenarios, saving and loading them, and they work fine. Has anyone else come across this bug?

bignail, did you do anything unusual (or do something for the first time) in Down the Mountainside? :o

The good news is that I got the bug to reproduce with your savegames. The bad news is that I can't quite figure out why it's happening. I've looked at the devel. documentation, and the problem seems to be related to a bit of source code that generates either random combat results, genders or traits ...

The problems with the cuttlefish and the orc not recruiting are probably to do with me fiddling with the AI settings - they always used to work. I've also changed the cave layout a bit in 0.9.12. von Halenbach has done a great job cleaning the units up (as he himself requested) and giving the shield a new image and animations for death and defense. Thanks a lot!

Version 0.9.10 can now be downloaded from the campaign server.

It looks like they fixed a bug in the WML that I was accidentally exploiting. My problem is lack of time; however, give it few months, and I'll have plenty of time, and this campaign is on my TODO list. :wink:

I love the way some people think that I planned all this stuff - I didn't.

However, I take your point that, when creating the last scenario, I went slightly OTT on difficulty. I will try to make it easier.

As a hint to the strugglers, capture the houses next to the main road.

I've hopefully balanced play a bit, so it's on the devel campaign server. If anyone's got a problem with that, I'll have to put a copy on the old one ... but I'd rather not.

Easy was meant to be *easy*. 8) However, you're quite right about the medium difficulty, and as for the hard... well, we won't go there.
