Maybe not related to this post, but i try. I have 1.1.13 (1.2 Branch) on a Linux computer. When i try to play the campaign Volcano Island it simply crashes (segfault) shortly after the start. I am able to build up my army of nagas and then *boom*. :D Battle for Wesnoth v1.1.13 Started on Fri Dec 8 0...

MediaWiki should be updated too old to be secure

Hi !

I have seen, that the mediawiki needs an update. That is a security hole, because there was a security fix in 1.7.1

We still use MediaWiki: 1.5.8

You can see for yourself : http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Special:Version

please read this: http://web.archive.org/web/19970516041818/http://citd.scar.utoronto.ca/VPAB93/course/readings/kalinak.html You know, that's not a bad idea. Most often I get more (and better) ideas for music when I'm nowhere near an instrument than when I'm at the computer trying to write something...

I have listened to it several times. ( I am no musican so maybe it is not true what i say) I can see that you are stuck with this. This song begins very sad (where you probably want to build some atmosphere), "lets dance" in the middle (the marching sound), and "danger, hide behind a bush" in the la...

Hi West ! Nice to hear from you again. (Many were proposing music before, but disappeared into nothing after their first post) Maybe a strange advice, but i want you to listen to mother nature. Please take a walk in the park and hear what you can hear there. Rain falling, waves on the shore, w...

Wow.
You are pretty good. I like to hear more from you. I agree with you, that this pice is quite fast for a campaign background. I suggest a march as the correct tempo and some bongos, grunts and sounds of feetstamps for the right orcish atmosphere if you can do that.

Hi West! I have listened to some of your music files (and seen your nice art). Personally i think you are good in both, but i like you to focus on music for the game, because we have already many artists who can draw very well and we really need some new music. I like to have an orcish theme for a u...

spear-orcish.png

If i may say my critics, i want to say that i find the "spear-orcish.png" a bit too bright. It looks as if you took a photo of a spear under a very bright white light. Kind of overexposed. I would find that picture more pleasing if the wood was more brownish than white. (same color as the javelin-or...

You probably mean, how to open a port to the internet. It can be changed in your "firewall" settings. I don't know suse-Linux, so i can't say exactly how you can do that. Is there a firewall setting in "Yast" ?

Simply open the port. We do the rest.

The question is wrong, not the answer.

I have played the version 1.2 of SotBe with BfW SVN 1.3 . There is still no music in the background to hear. Is that maybe because of that? : The units are awesome. Thanks alot vonHalenbach. It was just one of those little things that you never got around to. Anyhow, I went ahead and added them to t...

on a less techincal point of view, I think the metalic color of the magical teleporting ball isn't so good... you might want to try a mor "magicall blue" color I agree. That cannonball like thing was not magical enough. Since i am now free from animating the mage, i can focus on the staff and the m...

Regarding your final version of the mage, it should run faster (100ms/frame), it'd need some cleaning up of the face, hood and sleeve, the movement of his leg is too sudden (an intermediate frame would do the trick), and it lacks the "reverse to original position" frames at the end. Other than that...

Wow. Jetryls colorings were one hundred times better than mine. Jetryl you are truly an artist.

I had fun too, to colorise those. It was a good practise for me, so not wasted.
My colorised Camerin is now my new Background picture for a while.
